The 127th nominee of the NBN Hall of Fame retired before winning an NBN Championship. Joel Embiid likely goes down as one of the most dominant players to never win a ring in the NBN, as he's at the top of the record books in some of the most highly touted categories around. Was Embiid good enough to #TrustTheProcess of getting into the NBN Hall of Fame? Let's look into that.

Arguments For Induction
- When Embiid retired, he may have still been the best defensive/rebounding big in the league even at 37 years old. Embiid ranks 3rd all-time in blocks and 1st all-time in rebounding and double doubles, while also landing at #43 on the all-time points leaderboard. One of the most dominant all-around bigs ever.
- Let's not ignore the fact that he has 1,081 double doubles and 10 triple doubles to his name in just 1,491 games. Pretty insane to consider that's over 2/3.
- Embiid also happens to hold the record for most rebounds in a game with 33. Pure, pure dominance for a big man.
- While the 17.2 PPG doesn't pop out at you, Embiid could get buckets. Embiid had 12 seasons where he averaged over 17 PPG which is fantastic for longevity, including 5 seasons of over 20 PPG. Embiid did it all.
- TEN All-League awards for a big is a huge accomplishment. FIVE Defensive Player of the Year Awards is even BIGGER of an accomplishment. Nine times Embiid landed on an All-Defensive team. One of, if not the best defender in NBN history.

Arguments Against Induction
- Lack of success around every team he was on. Embiid decided to retire the year before the Pacers won the title with Jaemyn Brakefield taking his spot at the 5. PJ couldn't get it done with Embiid over an entire decade, hurting his cause slightly.
- Even though FBB is huge on stocks, Embiid only won Player of the Week six times and Player of the Month just one time. 
- Embiid averaged more turnovers per game than assists per game, creating a hole in his argument because of his lack of ability to generate offense passing the ball. 
- Tough start to his career in terms of accolades. From 2014-2020, he only made one All-Star team.

Voted Yes - Clippers. Played there too long to rationalize anywhere else, and he's an auto-in HoF guy for me.

Embiid is a lock for the HOF given the myriad of awards he has won over the years. In my mind he definitely deserves to join as a member of the Clippers as he had the best years of his career here, despite the fact we could never get it done in the playoffs and win him a title.

11 All-Star game appearances. The greatest rebounder in league history. One of the most elite shot blockers in league history. A five-time, five-time Defensive Player of the Year. He's an automatic yes vote with the Clippers.

No brainer yes. Embiid was a freak of a player in the NBN. Awesome rebounder and defender and his accolades are pretty great as well. Maybe he will get that date with Rihanna once voted in.
