The 132nd nominee of the NBN Hall of Fame is one of the more unique situations in all of the nominees we have seen so far. Leech played just 937 games in the NBN, starting for all but about 50. Leech was one of the most dominant players in the league over a decade and while he never won a ring, his peak lasted over many years, dominating wherever he went. Did he do enough in his short-ish career to get into the Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Another purely dominant scorer, Leech put up 25 PPG or more 6 times in his career, including a 29.4 PPG season in 2027 and a 30.4 PPG in 2030. Leech was consistent over his entire career and landed himself some big numbers.
- Unlike his 2034 class counterpart Thornwell, Leech had some diversity in his awards. In a tough, shooting guard heavy league, Leech found himself on the All-League team, in the All-Star game multiple times, on top of winning the Slam-Dunk Contest in 2027.
- Never dipped under 45% from the field over his entire career as a starter. That's 11 seasons of consistently great shooting.
- Didn't ever have many flaws. Was consistently a good passer, good rebounder, great defender, and a superstar scorer.
Arguments Against Induction
- No Player of the Week, no Player of the Month, only 52 double doubles, only 65 player of the games, and no ring. Hard to rationalize putting him in.
- Short career's going to hurt big time. Again, like Thornwell, if Leech had played into his mid-late 30s, he might land himself on some of the different leaderboard rankings including points, field goals, three pointers, steals, etc. Instead, doesn't find himself on just about anything.
- Super, super, super light on the awards in the long run. While he may look a bit better than other nominees of the past, he's still way lacking, whether or not he's a shooting guard.
- Lack of separation compared to other Hall of Famers. He looks like a bunch of other high-scoring shooting guards who never really did anything in their career in terms of winning.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
