Here's a look at my top 10 free agents. Overall I think this is just an ok class at best. It lacks star power at the top, but has some decent depth. I do think most guys on this list are available to be poached from their previous teams
1. Kareem Queeley SG 6'4'' 210 28 A- A+ C+ A- C B
Kareem has always been an excellent scorer (22.5 career PPG) but has battled turnover problems his whole career. He's entering FA right in his prime and I expect him to land a max offer. He's played the past few years on good teams with a lot of scorers, so I do think he has potential to be closer to 28-30ppg. Along with his scoring, he's a great facilitator from the 2 spot and excellent at the line.
2. Dick McGuire PG 6'0'' 180 30 B- A- A+ A C- C
I was not a fan of McGuire early in his career with the Bucks, but he's turned into a really good PG. He's always been overpaid which is why he's been on 6 different teams over the last 6 years. He's a really good defender and one of the better passers in the league. He's lacked a 3pt shot for most of his career, so it'll be interesting to see if his 43% last season was a fluke. Because there's so many good PGs in the league, I don't think he'll command the max, but I'd guess somewhere around 4yr/$60mil is a fair free agency deal for him.
3. Kiyan Anthony SF 6'9'' 210 30 A- A C B+ B D
Kiyan has been kind of a polarizing player in his career. He's been compared to Carmelo by a few GMs and that's probably a pretty fair comparison. He's a good scorer, but not very efficient. He's a good rebounder, but turns it over a lot. He gets steals, but his B+ defense suggests his Per/Post D is probably pretty low. For every strength he has an equal weakness it seems. At 30 years old with D potential, it would be scary to sign him to too long of a contract, but he's carried the D potential for a few seasons now and hasn't regressed yet. I'd guess he gets something similar to McGuire 4yr/$60mil.
4. Milos Teodosic PG 6'5'' 215 27 C+ A+ A+ A C- C
I really ranked Dick, Kiyan, and Milos pretty similarly, so I'd have no problem swapping the order of them. Milos doesn't put up huge scoring numbers, but that is ok since he's pretty efficient. Like Queeley, he's faced turnover problems and has been PED busted trying to fix his handling once already. He is one of the better defensive PGs in the league. Since Milos is younger than Dick and Kiyan, I'd feel more comfortable offering the 5th year. Something like 5yr/$75mil is a fair deal.
5. Frankie Brian PG 6'1'' 180 35 B+ A A- A D C
Frankie nearly just helped lead the Clippers to a title as an underdog. His biggest knock is going to be his age. He's a great scorer, good defensively, and doesn't turn it over. Beside his age, his only real other weakness is that he doesn't get the assists you'd expect from a normal PG. Even his 9.6 this season is inflated by the Clippers playing at the fastest pace in the league. He could probably land something like 2yr/$30, but not alot of teams with cap space will be after a 35yr old PG. I'd expect PJ to steal him back on a good deal.
6. Musa Jallow. SF 6'5'' 215 23 B A A- A B A
Commish stole him after his rookie year and his ratings exploded in TC. Unfortunately he has
yet to really play up to those ratings. He's only 23 with A potential,
so I expect all of the rebuilding teams with cap space to chase him and
he is coming off by far his best season of his career. Just based off last season and his ratings, he looks like he could be a great SF if he can increase his scoring load while maintaining the efficiency. I have no idea what to expect for a contract, but think every rebuilding team with cap space should be after him.
7. Chuck Share C 6'11'' 250 29 A- C C- A A B
Chuck started out his career on fire and looked like one of the best young Centers in the league, but he never really built off that. He remains a very strong rebounder, but his scoring has decreased as his efficiency really tanked the past few seasons. His shot blocking has also decreased, but still remains solid at around 2.5 a game. He doesn't turn the ball over much, which is a plus for a big man who takes as many shots as he does. He has some mentor ability also with multiple All NBN 3rd teams on his resume. I think he'll get somewhere in the 5yr/$50mil range.
8. Ivo Daneu PG 6'3'' 195 28 C+ A A+ A+ C- C
He's always been a great defender and now led the league in steals this past year at 2.9. He's an excellent 3pt shooter, good passer and doesn't turn the ball over. His main problem prior to this season was that he just wouldn't shoot enough. I'm a big fan of Daneu and probably biased since I developed him. Again the PG market is tough to predict with so many available options and think the Bucks can probably retain him on a decent deal.
9. Fuzzy Vandivier. SF 6'2'' 215 29 B+ A+ A- A- C C
Another polarizing ex-Warrior on the top 10 list and not sure if I'm to high or low on him. He's an excellent scorer shooting 50% from the field and 53% from 3 last year, but only played 20mpg. I'm assuming commish used him correctly, so there's definitely some buyer beware here. He's a below average rebounder for a SF and is probably average at best defensively. He doesn't turn the ball over and with his ability to backup SG, he probably ideally suited as your scoring backup wing off the bench. If I had to guess on a contract, I'd say 4yr/$50 mil.
10. John Isaacs PG 6'1'' 190 27 B A- B- A C- B
Tough to get a handle on how good Isaacs really is. He never got much playing time in Boston and then was the #1 option on a terrible tanking team where he put up good scoring numbers. I doubt he's a 27ppg scorer on a good team, but is he a 22ppg on a contender? I'm surprised at the lack of steals after having very good defensive draft notes. He's probably best suited as your 3rd guard, who should have really high perimeter defense and lacks the passing of a true PG. He's probably looking at like a 3yr/$20mil type of deal.
