As for my vote, its a yes for me, easily. He is probably my favorite player i've ever drafted. Dude was insanely good. Only issue he had were his boards and rebounds. And he was an absolutely great defender, he just wasn't a force steals wise. He was in the mid 90s per defense and 70s steals everytime i scouted him. He won two titles proving he was worth every penny he ever made and his perceived flaws didn't hold his teams back. Dude was a force and you could count on him up until he retired. Great player, fun player, absolutely everything you could ask for in a Hall of Famer, other than awards.

An in his prime scout, so his steals were 60 here not 70 like I thought. Just one of the most fun scouts I've ever had and when I scouted him after he got better his second TC was one of the biggest shocks ever.

Everyone who has ever voted against a candidate because they didn't have awards is proving that they were taking the easy way out by making that their argument. We can see here that awards are useless and it is a lazy argument to say that those without awards don't deserve to be in the HOF. I think this is an entirely unique situation as Frosty pointed out. The game does not handle point guards who don't pass well, well at all. Page doesn't even show up on FBB's map when it comes to awards because how low his assists were. And a lot of us(most?) are of the opinion that assists in FBB mean very little, so its a total oxymoron. I think with non PGs the award thing holds true pretty well, and even for traditional point guards it does too. But guys in the 6 or 7 assist(or lower here) range that do other things are elite levels should be held to a different standard, given the games flaws . I disagree with you and frosty - I think that all the awards are similarly flawed, but this one is an extreme case so it is easier to see. Every year the awards go to the players with the higher assist totals at the expense of other more important things, just look at last year: the 1st team SG was the #1 SG for assists per game. SF was 6th, PF was 3rd, and C was 5th. 2nd team (positional rating in assists) C - 2nd PF - 10th SF - 3rd SG - 2nd PG - 5th 3rd team (positional rating in assists) C - 3rd PF - 1st SG - 3rd PG - 1st Having good assist numbers drastically helps your chances of getting awards, not having assists really hurts your chances.
