Bob Davies is the final candidate from the 2041 NBN Hall of Fame Class. While his early career was mostly in a bench role, Davies came on strong with the Cavaliers and later with the Nets, eventually being part of four separate championship runs as a starting point guard. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Four time champion, three time playoff MVP. If that's not a HUGE part of swaying your opinion towards yes, I'm not sure what will be.

- Three time All-Leaguer, four time All-Star, three time All-Defensive team, all while being relatively quiet at the beginning of his career on the Lakers.

- Davies was fantastic until the end of his career and all, but I think it's understated just how special of a player he was. Not only was he not a max player for the majority of his career, Davies also helped the Cavaliers create an absolute dynasty, fitting like a glove on the Cleveland roster and really putting in work against legendary point guards of his era such as Ray Lumpp and BooBoo McAdoo.

Arguments Against Induction
- Was Davies replaceable? Sure. It's hard to find a point guard with his skill-set, but teams Davies happened to be a part of would've likely been similarly successful due to how talented they were as a roster.

- Davies wasn't much of an "individual achievement" player. Usually PGs do well with POTG, POTW, and POTM's, but Davies lacks in this category.

- Averaging 19.1/8.4 isn't super fun either. While it won't be that much of an impediment, it certainly doesn't help.

Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.

One of the crazy under the radar dudes because of how good Joe Marshall was for those Cavs teams, its an easy yes with everything in mind.

One of my best FA signings and it was for the MLE. Extended that to 3 years and late bloomer camped him into the perfect PG imo. He could shoot, defend, and was a decent facilitator. I don’t with my titles without him. His career averages are low because he was underutilized by the Lakers, and I tried to trade for him multiple times then! Bob is a Cavalier legend and a no doubt about it HOFer

Yes but I'm sure those Cavs teams could have won with at least a dozen other PGs in his place. But he's the one that was there and got the awards.

Yes from me - was one of the best FA signings of all time when Cavs signed him cheap after an uneventful 4 years with the Lakers and ended up leading some of the best teams the league has ever seen

That’s gonna be a yes for me. He was dominant but also still somehow under the radar. He rode shotgun next to Marshall for those championship runs but got the key accolades and awards to get him into the HOF. Always tough with the amount of high level guards we see, but he deserves a yes.

Yes..was a great pickup by the Cavs and became a stud for them

When I first looked at his career stats I wasnt sure. But looking at his player page once he got traded to the Cavs he basically immediately averaged 22 and 10 for the rest of his career (12 years straight) and when you combine that with 4 championships and 3 playoff MVPS it is clear that he is just one of those guys that seems to randomly dominate in he playoffs. Cousy Schmidt Josh Childress come to mind for me of just guys who just dominated once they were in the postseason. Definite yes for me.

At first the numbers seemed underwhelming for a point guard, but he became the catalyst for that long Cleveland run of contention along with Marshall. A multi-time All-Star and three time playoff MVP. It's a yes
