If people disagree with that I'm fine with changing it because I thought that seemed high when I put it together. But the effort in putting this whole thing together, organizing everything, the logistics of the idea, and all that took about as much time and effort as any article I've written. And ive always given organizers the cash for participation as the participants got(round tables being the best example, with getting both the organization total, which is typically pretty high, and the cash for answering questions). So this is $50 for voting, $1000 as all participants got, and $1000 for the article, with the 150% rule kicking in for the unique idea. If the league or A. Silver think I overdid it then I'm more than willing to roll it back. I almost asked him but i asked him about something else last night and he was barely in a place to answer that haha.

It looks like a lot but that’s only because of the 150% rule. I think it’s pretty consistent with the way you do roundtables. There was a lot of behind the scenes stuff + creating the survey + publishing the results that are still to come.

Tthis is crazy to award this much money effort or not. the league takes away the sports book handicapping those who don't write and then hand out 1000 or more on things like this. on another note are these rules going into place?

Honestly not seeing whats wrong with giving guys who put more effort in more cash. Curious to hear an argument against this besides the fact that it hurts you. I don't feel like copy/pasting shit all the time but I don't complain that I'm handicapped by the sportsbook. Other than that yea fuck rog

Other than that yea fuck rog seems like unfair balance to not allow people who don't write a better chance through a sports book to gain money they don't get via writing. when sports book was removed I lost a lot of GM Cash and harder to make it up with the betting we have in place.

Whys it unfair? If someone puts a ton of effort into an article I think its fair they get paid for it. I understand it might suck if you don't have the time to write an article but thats not on the league. You aren't "not being allowed" anything frankly, you're free to find 30 minutes of your day or whatever and write an article for the league. If you can't then the onus is on you to make the cash up through trades or whatever. I could conceivably complain that sportsbook/pickem/DC bonuses are unfair to me because I don't have the patience to log on and copy/paste each of those things but I don't because thats a personal problem. I think I posted like 2 DCs this year and same with pickems because of that, but thats nobodies problem but my own honestly. Point is I feel its better to reward people for putting effort into things that everyone can read and enjoy than just have sportsbook exclusively. You aren't being penalized because Rog took the time and effort to write an article and is getting paid for it.

I do think its on the league to allow people who don't write some type of chance to keep up with those who do. that's just one thing that I don't agree with.

I got $1500 for the article that I did a season and a half ago. I'm fine with Rog going above and beyond that because to be honest he did a hell of a lot more work for this than I did for my article.

Ya honestly rog’s job is intense and probably mildly underpaid but I trust him. Now people can follow his model if they want mad cash. The pretense has been set!
