Arguments For Induction
- Volasgis was one of the league's best defenders throughout his career, putting up 3+ blocks per game for over a decade.
- Multiple All-Defensive teams, 2 Championships, and a whopping 746 double doubles.
- On top of his defensive ability, Volasgis was a valuable member of his team offensively and on the boards. In his prime, he was a 19/13/4 stock player, which is super underrated and underappreciated.
Arguments Against Induction
- His average stats are semi underwhelming due to usage near the end of his career. Had he started in his final three years, he'd likely be around an 18/13 average for his career.
- Never won a player of the month, All-League award, and only won one player of the week award.
- Frankly, Volasgis is an interesting case. He's not necessarily an auto-no and isn't a lock by any mean of the word. I think his induction case will come down strictly to whoever makes a strong argument.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
