Dick is a player that most of us in the NBN consider a model of consistency, considering he put up 13 seasons in a row of 20/9 or better seasons after sitting on the bench his first few seasons. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- As mentioned before, consistency. He was very good at doing everything right and although he was never "overly insane" in terms of his talent, he was consistently great at what he did and helped improve every team he was ever on.
- He stuffed the stat sheet with over 600 double-doubles, on top of multiple All-Star and All-League appearances, 280 player of the games, 11 player of the weeks, and even 3 player of the months. He was never the main scorer on his team but always put up numbers.
- One of the most understated things that Dick brought to the table was his defensive ability. He was almost always a stock machine and was a fantastic perimeter defender, being a consistent top 10 steal-getter for whatever team he was on.
Arguments Against Induction
- No NBN Championship may hurt his case. He was an extremely talented player on some great teams but couldn't get it done, regardless of if he was a Pacer, Raptor, Spur, Sun, etc.
- Sitting bench his first four seasons didn't help at all. His career stats aren't nearly as exciting with four seasons under 25 MPG to start of his career.
- McGuire may have needed a little extra something to get him into the Hall. He was always good at everything, even rebounding, but outside of his passing ability, not sure he was the very best at anything in the league. Dick never had problems with his turnovers and scored a ton doing it, but he didn't ever do anything "the best" of point guards.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
