LMAO Atlantic might not be to tough this year but the Western Conf can’t talk. They seem to get a sub .500 team in the playoffs every season. I just meant you're going to absolutely murder everyone in that division. The Central was really competitive last season with so many teams fighting there to get in the playoffs ... I think everyone in the divi was over .500? Yeah central is brutal. Knicks should still be a good team. Wizards are ehh if they lose Issel and are inactive. Hopefully I can improve on the 63 wins!

How is adding two 1st rounders a bad thing?

Agreed. How is adding two 1st rounders a bad thing? I l’d say the general problem with the trade comes from the Jazz, who have become quite good this offseason, have your draft pick next year. Nobody wants to see them add a top-5 pick to create a “stacked” roster. This trade helps make that a possibility. Does that concern you? Is that your fault? Should you be forced to keep Christie because he’ll increase your win total by himself? Absolutely not. I think adding draft assets is a good idea. You’re setting yourself up much better for this upcoming offseason. Good job.

You’re setting yourself up much better for this upcoming offseason. Good job. In a vacuum this wouldn't be a bad trade, but after what occurred prior to this deal it just makes no sense. Maybe he combats his original mistake somewhat, but he did this to himself it's not as if he came into a situation where his team had already moved the pick before he took over. First he traded his pick with another player of Christie's caliber to the Jazz, for potentially a defensive upgrade at the position. This is after declining another player who would offered to resign as well. He then let's Pritchard walk for nothing, knowing he does not have his pick. Then turns and trades Christie for two picks, neither one is his own pick. The problem isn't really the Jazz getting another solid player, the problem is the Nets have no control over this season for the team. They are going to be terrible and at the end of the year they are banking on the Wolves/Jazz to be bad. Is this a band-aid for his original mistake, sure. But that doesn't make the series of events any better.
There was already cause for concern when he traded the 1st: nothinbutnetleague.proboards.com/thread/20671/jazz-nets
