Arguments For Induction
- Quite a career. Murray never got the love he deserved in All-League teams because of a very slight lack of stocks compared to the high end, but man, this dude could SCORE. Murray was one of the only guards I considered on the same level offensively as Cole Anthony for a long time and he always helped his teams, en route to three titles and a playoff MVP in 2027.

- Unlike other players, Murray was a contributor everywhere he went. Grizzlies with four seasons, Rockets with three, Heat/Raptors with two, and the Hawks, Kings, Suns, and Bucks for one, all where he was GOOD. Like, really good, for the most part. 

- Not only was Murray a scorer, he did a fair amount of passing en route to 8,728 assists. He was a pretty quality rebounder at 5 RPG over his career and grabbed about 2 stocks per game as well, all while being an extraordinarily efficient shooter (.467/.878/.421).

Arguments Against Induction
- His stat line isn't super complete-looking for a Hall of Famer PG, and the times he spent off the bench or at shooting guard didn't necessarily help his case. 22/7.8/5 is good, but it could've looked much better had he started on a longer-term basis.

- Turnover issues were semi-apparent throughout, primarily, early in his career. While you can deal with a close to 4 TOPG player if he's passing at the level Murray did, I'm sure there will be a few people in the responses here who bring up his turnover problems.

- Was Murray ever an elite PG? That's for you to decide. While he had plenty of 25+ PPG seasons with a few high assist seasons in there, there's also quite a few sub 9 APG seasons sprinkled in there with, again, slight turnover issues and some lackluster stock seasons as well.

Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.

Nah, he was a good but flawed PG who was put in the right environment to win a few times. With the way FBB inflates PGs he barely stood out as above average. If there weren't so many other good PGs then he would have a very strong case, but never really being a top 5 guy at PG makes it hard for me to vote him into the hall.

Of all good PG's out there, its going to be a no for me. Only making 4 all stars is kind of hard to justify a HOF career for me without being a standout defender.

I went with yes because I feel the back end of his career really hurts what his stats look like.

One of the better scoring pgs who has 3 championships and an mvp from one of them. His %s are legit and has some nice accolades at a position that if you don't have top of the line assists it's hard to get all league positions.

Murray was my boy and a huge reason I had success for a few consecutive years a little while back, but Silver hit the nail on the head. Really was never a top 5 PG during his time. Awesome scorer, but the turnovers were a huge problem. Needed the right team around him to win.

i agree I think a 5 threshold is what it takes to be considered . if not - 2000 cash ya know.....

Yes. 30/10/6 at his peak. Multiple rings. Guys like him and WCJ are a decent baselines for HoFers. Multiple rings and high peaks. FBBs weird with awards both of these guys were winning players i wanted on my team

Man yall are harsh. Definitely a yes for me. 3 time champion and a constant top 5 pg. Has more accolades and rings than a guy like Jaylen Brown who was voted in. I understand that's because of positional value but I don't think we can hold that against Murray

I'm going to go with no, but he's close. 

Three championships, especially as a key component on most of those teams, automatically puts him in the HOF conversation. But I don't think he did enough outside of that to push himself over the hump. Only a top 3 PG in the league once in his 16 years, and never really took home any big awards. 

It's not the "Hall of Really Good," so I'm going no.
