Lamelo started his career and ended his career in Houston, putting his mark on the league as a score-first, ask-questions-later point guard turned shooting guard turned everything. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Lamelo's career was impressive, to say the least. 22.5/7.4/5.7 for his career at 45.6 FG%, making over 11,600 shots from the field and 2,843 from downtown along the way. Lamelo was also a super efficient passer, although he wasn't always utilized as a PG.
- Lamelo was crucial in the Kings' 2028 run to the NBN title after being an All-League level player for the second and final time of his career. Lamelo was a great scorer, passer, rebounded extremely well, and got some stocks along the way while being a major part of an NBN title team.
- He spent almost the entirety of his career as a starter with starter minutes and starter volume and was one of the best of the best during his time. 13 years in a row of 22+ PPG, including multiple starter years at 9+ APG and 6+ RPG along the way. He was a very close to complete offensive player, performed to the fullest of his potential, and dominated for many years.
Arguments Against Induction
- How do you feel about awards? Lamelo only had two years where he was considered an All-League level player, and while he was the Playoff MVP on a title team, the rest of his awards and achievements are lackluster.
- Voters will have to overlook his viability as a "point guard" elect considering he played a lot of shooting guard. Was he good enough to get in as a point guard? Was he good enough to get in as a shooting guard? Is he good enough to get in as a "guard" with his career and the Hall's standards?
- Lamelo wasn't much of a defender for the majority of his career and didn't really get into the high B's. So, while the stocks were fine, the biggest downfall of his career probably ends up being his defense. He leaves a whole lot to be desired on that end.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
