Yes, absolute freak, insanely long career. Also known for his killer postseason performances shutting down the 2nd best post of all time Ryan Ritter Coincidence that he retired once Ritter did?

Maxwell is top 5 right now. His only downfall is his 3pt% outside that he is legit. He's scoring this year, one of the best rebounders at the Postion, def a top defender and what's really key is he doesn't turn the ball over. King/Davis/Bird/Morrow/Maxwell Seems like a pretty big downfall when your "top 5 SF" is a career 38.8% from three. Give me Disco, Dieng, and Mullin over Maxwell while we're at it. Glad Maxwell can rebound, I prefer my wings/guards to shoot well from deep consistently over a long-term basis and he has not and will never do that. Ice cold take imo. Disco and Mullin aren't near Maxwell due to the disparity in rebounds.

I just think if we said no to a bunch a guys with better careers. From the people we've denied, I'd personally take these guys over him, in no order:
Lauri Wiseman Cowens Manny Leaks Giannis Maybe even Nurkic
Just think he had a good career, and he def redefined it after his first few seasons, but I just don't think I'd take him over any of the guys I listed

I'm going with Yes since he was one of the most top front court players for years, not sure why fbb would never give him more awards as he deserved.
At the time people said I lost the deal when I sent Wiseman for him and other things as a young player to rebuild and ended up a beast.
Should go in as a Spur, but someone is salty because nobody put in Wemb as a Buck.

I voted yes because of the value he brought at his position. Not many PF's who did it better, period, let alone the longevity. Honestly initially voted no due to the lack of wards but this convinced me and is similar(but not the same) for me pushing Maxwell a bit. Woodley brought supreme value to a position that was impossible to find for a long time, stocks that were rare to go with the rebounds that are so crucial. Despite the lack of awards(tied to the games flawed bias toward assists), his value-added to teams that were able to win 3 titles with him as their starting PFs I think he barely squeaks in despite the lack of awards. Time will tell if my own vote is able to use the same logic with Maxwell(hes still young and needs a prolonged 22 and 9 type run with the titles to convince even me to vote for him, despite my believing there is a solid case there).

You know, didn't read the whole thread just got ot that comment that kind of convinced me, funny to see that convo play out. Think I argued a good case. Maxwell is a positive when on the floor. Def wanna see how he does against the top tier SFs in the playoffs. Jovic isn't that great of a scorer but lets see how Maxwell does offensivley against one of the best defenders. Morrow/ainge would be nex matchup and then odds would be king. Will be fun to see how it.will play out.

Not to say that it is how this series will play out, but I have thus far with this run had the Nuggets number a bit. 4-1ed them in the playoffs last year en route to the title. 3-1 last year in the regular season and swept them this season. Probably get swept this series now pointing it out. But I think Maxwell's ability to overcome Jovic's advantages is a big part of that(plus winning their usual winning matchup at PG). We'll see how it plays out this series.

Voted no, good defender, but never made an all defense team or all league team.
