Former DPOY and All-League First teamer Caldwell Jones retired after being a very high-caliber mentor at the end of his terrific, long career. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Everyone needs to stop and thank Silver for the money from voting here because his utilization as a defensive weapon turned him into a Hall of Fame Nominee level player after what I would've said was a good, not great start to his career, even spending some time as a bench big rather than an elite starter. The back half of his career was absolutely sensational, most of which came with the Knicks and W's.
- Elite defensive big especially near the end of his career, but even early on, he was good for 3-4 stocks per game with an unbelievable ability to grab rebounds as a consistent 13-14 per game without any issues. Pretty good career, especially when you see the 4.5-5 stock seasons late.
- He was a really good offensive player for a large part of his career, going into the high teens and even low 20s at times... considering how talented he was as a defender and rebounder, this offensive game (and in turn All-League teams, DPOTY, a few All-D teams, etc came from it. Pretty good awards list!
Arguments Against Induction
- No ring. Might be killer here. Caldwell was a productive player on a bunch of different quality rosters but never won the big one even if he did come close a few times.
- He wasn't much of a passer and had slight turnover issues from time to time, as a frequent member of the 2.5+ TOPG club when he was shooting the ball. Obviously, his production was worth the turnovers but the turnovers were certainly killer when he wasn't scoring well.
- I think you can pretty clearly argue that he was mis-utilized a bit throughout his career. Bench mob years, years where he barely got any shots off, years where he was on bad teams and just kinda grinded away... he had a lot of potential to do a lot more than what he did as was shown by a few late-career seasons.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
