To do what the Packers and Lions did to us, Andy Reid will have to do the one thing he hates the most: Rely on the run game.
All jokes aside, I'm scared of what Mahomes is gonna do to us.

Key is to be able to sustain the blows. Detroit folded and could not. We can't come that way vs KC. No shot well be able to come back vs Mahomes.

I think they would have been better off giving the ball to the Chiefs first, but seems like they didn't know the change in OT rules.

Bummer of a game, but at least the niners made it that far.

I think they would have been better off giving the ball to the Chiefs first, but seems like they didn't know the change in OT rules. I think we're behind the eight ball when it comes to aggressiveness. Kyle does a lot of things well but hes way to conservative. I think the thought process here was if we score a TD, KC scores a TD(or we get a FG and hold them to a FG) then we get the ball in sudden death and just need points. Thing is, there is zero way if I'm the team going second that I kick a PAT if we traded TDs. You go for 2, put the ball in Purdy or Mahomes hands and not let the other one get the ball back.

Was a good hard fought game just dull seeing the same team win. Feel some bad breaks and never getting holding calls since it looked like bosa was held every play hurt.
Hitting your own guys foot off a punt is an awful break and game changing and kicking a fg and not getting a td was like the nail in the coffin.
Didn't like the defense on that 2nd and 14 in Ot it allowed them to get a manageable 3rd down and allowed them to keep the drive going. Then I think you went all out blitz on 3rd. Just didn't like the calls.

Need one of the following:
1) No fumble at Red zone 2) An extra point 3) Not fair catching a punt return 4) Brock Purdy throwing more than -1 yards in the third
And they win.
Crazy Shanahan gets the blame.

Crazy Shanahan gets the blame. Doubt the fair catch even matters since it hit a players foot blocking. The third quarter passing was as much on play calling, o line, and receivers as much as purdy. Even when purdy had time, there was no separation. Kittle and Deebo were extremely disappointing last night. Times when they were open, the o line collapsed and purdy missed throws. Shanahan isn’t all the blame, but he’s as much as anyone else. Also hate boiling down to one play with that extra point. Can’t figure a scenario where Mahomes doesn’t score at the end if he knows he needs a TD to win

Deferring in that scenario was the right move. That defense was cooked after saving Purdy's sorry ass a hundred times.

Need one of the following: 1) No fumble at Red zone 2) An extra point 3) Not fair catching a punt return 4) Brock Purdy throwing more than -1 yards in the third And they win. Crazy Shanahan gets the blame. 1) No guarantee without the fumble we score a TD. We couldn't get anything going in the Red Zone. Even without the fumble it isn't a guarantee. 2) Moody hits the PAT and then at the end Mahomes just ends it sooner. 3) If you are saying Ray Ray should have just got caught the punt then sure. I haven't seen the team say much on it or why that was the decision so before hearing that I think it's unfair to say what should have happened on a freaky, flukey play. 4) Putting it on Purdy is insane. He legit did the only thing he could do the entire quarter: Not lose the game. The play calling was dull and we had back breaking penalties, and Purdy had completions on two of those drives that came back. Purdy had no time and no receivers getting separation and very bland play calling in the third quarter. I chalk it up to three things: 1) you HAVE to get points on drives while your defebse is clamping Kelce and Mahomes. I kept saying it in the 1st/2nd quarter, these drives stalling out/not getting points is going to kill us. 2) You cannot just let them dog walk you down the field with 8-10 yards of space. The fact that the HC had to call a TO to tell Wilks that is insane. Straight up get that man out of here. 3) Mahomes had the ball last. And frankly the rest of the game or points or mistakes don't matter if you allow this to happen. If the last time Mahomes touches the ball isn't a two score game, you've fucked up. It's really that simple. When we gave the ball back with ~2 minutes left, the gene was over. We have one more run with a truly stacked roster. If next year isn't our year, it's tough for me to see where we win it. Cap gets really tough year after. If what Purdy did this year is real and he can get better in some ways that won't necessarily show up on the stat sheet(Picking up those blitzes before the snap, as an example), we're gonna be good for a long time regardless of the rest of the roster. If Purdy is "just" a top 12ish QB, we better hit hard on our next two draft classes.
