ROY RACE: In a bit of a surprise, at least to me, Elliot Cadeau looks to be leading the ROY race early this season. The Bucks have been off to a tough start after losing several players including Giannis, but they may have found a good building block here with the 8th pick of the draft. He's already posting A- handles which is pretty impressive, if his scoring can come around a bit more then he will look quite nice. Reid and Malauach look to be doing really good as well, it would be better if they could stay on the court for more minutes. That would help their overall counting stats. Matas is really struggling being able to adjust and score the ball in the NBN while Pettiford has also been dealing with some major turnover problems early. I think Flagg has been a bit of a disappointment for everyone, but the assist numbers are pretty huge for a big guy already![/div] Hopefully, this helps you with your all-star game pick'ems.

Even though I only GMd them for like a week, I find myself rooting for the GS rookies.
I was surprised to see Flagg so low but the numbers don't lie, there's a few rookies having really nice seasons so far

Apart from the first 2 on this list the rest are pretty mediocre to bad
I wouldn't say they are having nice seasons. The top3 picks should do better imo

The top3 picks should do better imo I think your expectations of rookies might just be too high. I looked at Walt Frazier in V2 who had an argument for the GOAT and his rookie year was 14/8/6 with 4 TOs as 2nd pick. Pettiford isn't too far off as 15th pick, I'd call that a good season Maluach averaging 2 BPG as a rookie is great, Flagg looks like he'll be able to do it all and is a key player on a playoff team at 19. There's a lot to like about this class imo |

True, but all those guys had active GMs who camped them and played DCs that probably helped them. I'm pretty sure Matt hasn't posted a DC or camped his guys since starting here, not really a coincidence the Topic and Buzelis aren't progressing how you'd expect. Chet & Wemby are better than some of the top prospects we've had so far but they're just recreating their historic rookie seasons. Irl these upcoming classes aren't as good as the insanely good class that were rookies when we started. I'm sure Flagg would have much better stats if he was on a shitty team like Wemby was his first year |

I didn't camp carrington untill after season and i am pretty sure some other gms didnt either since they dont wanna win too many games. As for celtics they had toppicks in bith draft so no difference there.
And I doubt Flagg would have better numbers. I just think Tc wasn't as great this season hence why most of these rookies are performing worse then last years class
