Not sure why im in the article mood but here it goes. Lmao
This is the toughest decision I have yet to have to make in the draft in 4 seasons and actually loved all these drafts and I have made the right picks 3/3 times.
Smh I just wanted to put out my thoughts Ive had for hours lol even as I write this, I changed my pick twice lol. When I traded for these picks I had 2 completely different players in mind.
We are ready to compete but I’ve always loved to build for the future. So its a pretty tough spot. DJ Wagner obviously had something to do with the decisions for me but the only SG I like cannot be camped by Wagner until next season and If I lose him to FA I cant mentor the SG anyway. So im changing that pick last second.
Looking at my bigs, I am pretty happy with all of them, Rocco, Mara, Felix so I dont really need a big and think a big is too early here at 10-11
I have a lot of depth at the guard spot anyway even if I do lose Wagner. That leaves me a huge whole, even IF I do resign Brandon Miller and Dort, it is my weakest position and the leagues weakest and played the role into these following picks.
I read an article that said this player can score 17, grab 8 rebounds, and 3 stocks per game and thought, my 56 win team would probably enjoy that from a rookie who is older than all my starters except Mitchell. Out of the lottery teams I probably am one of the only that can take the gamble on the guy who was projected to go 6th?

With the 10th pick, New York Knicks select Alex Toohey
