active joseph is back baby I had gotten promoted to a new position at work. So I was pretty much working two jobs for a few months while training my backfill. It was absolute hell, but new job is a LIGHT work load in comparison. Then I was sucked into NBA playoffs. Made it to game three of the Clippers Mavs series and then Game 3 of the Finals. The AAC during the Mavs like 20-2 run was fucking LOUDDDDD.
Safe to say, we are sooooo back  |

Looking like tomorrow or Friday for this fwiw. I've had a really busy week and haven't had the time I was hoping to get the finishing touches on the draft. My hope is to get it to him tonight, notes/tiers tomorrow afternoon and then a lotto at some point after that.

why do all the guards coming in continue to have a better inside rating then an outside? Basically every guard profile right now is uber athletic. Outside scoring and rebounding to me are the key to keeping bigs relevant/inflation down so I've been trying to curb outside rating at 4-6 B- or betters and ~20 C+ ratings. Idea is to separate the truly good shooters in the class with the ones that need help. Logic is that FBB will develop outside scoring at a rate higher than I'd like to keep the file around this level of inflation or even lower it a bit again, so start them at a further place back and let FBB develop it, because it will. Look at Bronny on the Thunder as an example of this idea. It also means guards bust at a higher rate than before, which I think is overall a good thing. Busts need to happen. A lot of this also contributes to why you are seeing later picks having more value than the drafts I was making at the end of NBN 2.0. Which is intentional and good. The last ~15 classes in NBN 2.0 basically had zero value at the 21-29 range because there was a talent drop off greater than the value of getting the diamond in the rough camp. Making the top ~5 separate from ~6-15 but bringing ~21-29 closer to ~6-15 is my goal with these first 5 classes. tl;dr: FBB will develop outside, trying to make prospects be appealing while curbing outside shot and bringing value back to the late 1st round. |
