What's your strategy when building your team? For now, our strategy is to continue to try and identify some young players with upside that we can consider a part of the future of this roster. But an important part of that is staying fluid as these players develop. You never know just how a player will fit down the road when they’re 19 and 20. Right now, we feel as though we have a handful of players that could be here long term if they develop and buy in. |

What are your early thoughts on the league? Things you like/ don't like? I am pretty easy going and don’t do sim leagues anymore, so I’m mostly enjoying it and just trying to stay engaged while rebuilding. Not much I don’t like about it! |

Who would you love to add to Tajh Ariza from someone already in the league? If this is more of a dream pick, I’d probably go with Wemby or Flagg. This front office needs to focus on the front line. |

Who would you love to add to Tajh Ariza from someone not in the league yet? Maybe like an Allen Iverson. Ariza is going to be a great player for us, but admittedly we don’t get the feeling he will be a high volume #1 option scorer for us. |

You've made a lot of moves this offseason, which move do you consider your favorite? The deal to bring Ariza in. Not only did we land a good corner piece to build around, but it came from some of the other questionable deals that came prior, which made me feel better. |

Mara was on your roster for 12 seconds, did you consider testing the market or was the move made quickly because you thought you could reuse the cap space in FA? I definitely thought I could reuse the cap space. So that was part of it. I was able to field a few offers though. They all included some 1st round picks, and considering we were just getting going and we were missing so many other pieces to meet Mara’s timeline, we wanted to deal him, even with Topic joining him as well. The trade to the Knicks felt like the right one because it allowed us to get rid of both of the big contracts together and press the reset button. Both of them improved in TC which I also didn’t predict, so probably not a great deal on paper, but considering we entered FA with neither player, we still felt like we came out on the positive side. |

You have a young roster with a bunch of picks going forward. What position is your priority to fill this upcoming draft? We’ll have some good cap space too, so I don’t want to pigeon hole us into one position if we don’t love our options in the draft, but whether through FA or the draft we need to add some bigs to our roster. Point guard would be the secondary priority. |

How much experience do you have in FBB leagues? A lot, but not much recently. I grew up with them. Used to be in multiple leagues at a time. I’m 32 now, and have maybe taken part in 3 or 4 leagues in the past decade. So I’m definitely relearning some things. |

My brother had me join one of his leagues a handful of years ago and I’ve been a GM in a couple of his leagues since. |

Can Crowe Jr be a starting caliber PG or do you think he best suited to be a scorer off the bench? Time will tell. I think realistically he is probably better suited off the bench for a team with championship aspirations, but I love his style of play. If he continues to develop I’d actually love to have him running the show, as Ariza can help him facilitate the offense. |

How long do you expect the Nuggets to be in rebuild mode? I admittedly have more trouble staying active and engaged with a bad roster, so ideally I want to be more competitive the season after next. We have 3 1sts in that draft so we could find ourselves in a position to strike a deal for a player that will increase our ceiling. |

Did you get any other decent offers for Mara? I did. I think I got two others at least. I obviously didn’t love the value in dealing him alone and went with the chance to get rid of him and Topic both, albeit prob at a discount. |

Welcome to the league my friend, great to see you here. Are you excited to get back into the Sims, and what was your first thought after becoming the New Nuggets GM? Thank you! My first thought was, oh boy, new rules to learn and I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s been fun to get ramped up though. I’m itching to become a better team but know I can’t rush into it. |

You have a very nice core of young players, will you keep adding to that..or start looking to add vets to make a playoff push in the next few seasons? The plan is to be winning more ball games in two seasons time. Depending on player development we’d love to stay young and keep building the core up, but we’ll do whatever we think will propel us higher when the time comes. |
