Should have offered him 500 so that he could actually have a camp instead of 300. I thought $300 for myself was fair, Ivey not worth more than that for myself right now.... I would have to sign a 13M FA filler which is $650 extra for luxury tax, plus after this year I would let him walk to FA almost for whatever he offered to resign for because I would not have cap to spend on him anyway. I was only gonna put him in Lonnie Walkers spot which is 3rd PG in the DC but I don't think that minimal upgrade is worth more than $300 for all that... I guess I just got offended that when I PM'd him asking for Ivey and he asked for $1,000 and I said the best I could do is around $300 and he posted a trade block and then moved him for "basically" $50 more than I offered. I wouldn't value him at $1000 but occasionally you get some GMs to say fuck it and either pay it or offer something else that would greater than a fair price. And think of the pick as more of a gamble, if I'm guaranteed $300 anyways, then why not see if the pick can become worth more. |
