16B Utah Jazz 25-31
Utah is in a weird spot where they have a mixture of vets and young players. A recent block has been posted so im assuming that theyll be shipping off some vet talent. They will make the playoffs because the back half of the west is bad but this is as high as they will climb.
16A Phoenix Suns 29-28
Zheld has taken over the Suns but there isnt much to say about this squad. They have been a close to 500 team for years now and have that ugly Booker deal to work with. Maybe the new guy uses his Amnesty and gets rid of him and the suns can start a true rebuild with a new GM at the helm.
15 Cleveland Cavaliers 31-27
This Cavs team makes the list currently being on the outs of the playoff picture but with a couple recent moves and the team playing better (8-2 L10) i can see them working there way into the playoffs, can never count out a team with Luka.
14 Charlotte Hornets 31-25
Hornets are another team that started off slow but have seemed to find their place. 9-1 run over their last 10 they slowly climbing back into contention. The cavs are right on their heels but with the nice trio of PGs they have i can see them holding their ground and squeaking in,
13 Golden State Warriors 32-26
Next we have Golden State who are also in a battle themselves, their team is playing above 500 but their PPG to Def Point diff is close to even. Love their starting lineup but besides that ther isnt much here. Still Boozer is a bright spot and they have a nice future ahead.
12 Los Angeles Clippers 33-26
Clips edge out the warriors here but they are very similar. Sarr is a stud young big man but outside of that they have a solid starting 5 and not much to back them up with. Will be a battle between them and the warriors for the 5/6 slot.
11 Atlanta Hawks 38-23
Van comes in here at 11, they had to make some serious changes to the team with the cap situation starting to get them. While they brought in some nice young talent you can see it effecting the squad as they've been 5-5 the last 10. Koa Peat looks to be a stud and they've got a young Carrington on a nice cheap deal. I wouldnt be shocked to see some more depth pieces moved this off season.
10 New York Knicks 36-23
Knicks come in here at 10, they continue to make a nice chunk of trades so its hard to remember who was on the squad at the beginning of the year. Regardless he is always able to compete and thats a nice add to the league. Shockingly was able to move that awful miller deal but now his two bigs are combined for making 74 mill. He will have some more moves to do in the offseason but for now this is a solid squad and could see them make some noise.
9 Indiana Pacers 35-20
The Gmless Pacers are a solid squad IMO. I had to make a move moving Turner but honestly i think it has helped this team. Once i was able to set their lineup they've been playing much better. Thomas and Haliburton with Embid are a solid trio that i could see making some heavy noise come playoff time.
8 Vancouver Grizzlies 34-20
It seems after their very slow start the Grizz are finally back to their championship ways. Ripping off 9 of the last 10 theyre in a groove and honestly could see them climbing this list come seasons end. Can never count out UCf and now he was able to get sarr and match his age up with Leyva i can see them continuing their reign near the top of the west for awhile.
7 Los Angeles Lakers 40-20
Lakers here at 7, We just mad a huge move getting Giddey and im not going to let the first bad sim change my mind. He was a great add to the lineup and pairing him with Reaves and Ja i think we can make a solid run once again in the west.
6 Orlando Magic 40-19
Rog brings his Magic squad in here at 6. Let me just say the top of the East is TOP tier. These guys are all battling but i like the makeup of this team. Lee averaging over 30 a game making less than 3 mill is criminal but credit Rog for being able to turn this team into something powerful.
5 Washington Wizards 40-15
Dash has not made a ton of moves but does he really have too when his big three averages nearly 73 points a game. Flagg Bilal and Collier may be the best young trio in the league and it may be time they finally make some true noise in the playoffs.
4 Philidelphia 76ers 44-17
The number 2 seed in the east is philly and carried by Maxey and Jokic this team continues to show why carlos is a great GM. The depth hes been able to bring in and now making a move for MPJ, this team is not one i want to mess with come playoff time.
3 OKC Thunder 45-14
Has Melo finally figured it out? this is a great team and he was able to go make a nice move to get Murphy to bolster his team even more. Brunson is still playing great and Wemby is Wemby but wow. He also went out and got Mobley and i think i can see a GM of the year in his future but does that also come with a title?
2 New Orleans Pelicans 48-16
Slough has been telling us for a couple seasons now to get ready and here he is. Pelicans are at the top of the east and arent looking back. Mintz has been unreal but Mccain has been the star. Will this be the season slough takes back what hes been craving for years, we shall see
1 Sacramento Kings 48-12
Finally to the cream of the crop, The kings are my favorite to win the title. Sitting at the top of the west and only having 12 losses shows how great this team is. Silver has done a nice job at maneuvering this team but keegan murray turning the corner has sprung this team to the top of the class.
