After reading others opinions I am going with yes. He was one of the 1st big time defensive centers. He might not have scored as much as you like but he was a straight up game changer on the defensive end a top notch rebunder. With that I feel he was worthy.

Marcus Camby will be the first to get my Hall of Fame vote. 7 All-Star games in 12 years in the league, an elite defender and rebounder. He never averaged under 11.5 rebounds per game for a season, he never averaged under 3.2 blocks per game for a season. His scoring average for his career gets skewed by the fact that his last two years he averaged under 7 PPG. In his prime, he was typically averaging 15 PPG. Unlike the other candidates, Camby did also win a title. The other point to make about his awards... the early seasons of the league were dominated by much older players than he was, so for Camby to make SIX straight All-Star games from 2001-2006 says something about his consistent dominance at the C position. Claim the extra $25 for best contribution/case. Marcus Camby has garnered a high enough percentage of the vote for enshrinement and is now a Hall of Famer.

One of the best long term centers we've had in this league. Did what every team needed, racking up blocks and boards all day
