The 35th nominee of the NBN Hall of Fame is a guy who might just deserve to be nominated for the Hall of Very Good, not the Hall of Fame, but Jefferson had a lot going for him that makes him a somewhat viable candidate. Is he more than somewhat viable and a Hall of Famer? Lets take a look.

Arguments For Induction
- Jefferson was a two time All-Star and given that a lot of what made him great wasn't glamour stats, thats impressive.
- The best thing about Jefferson was his ability to fit into a team. He didn't need the ball a ton, didn't turn it over, shot it relatively decently, and his game was inoffensive. He always had a role to play, if you didn't have a truly superstar small forward Jefferson was the guy you'd want starting at small forward for you.
- He did put up some impressive stats though, mainly his scoring. He was a 20 point scorer for his career, and six times over his career averaged over 20. He gave you a solid 22 points on a 45/82/40 slash line. Being able to always count on your small forward to give you such stats is a blessing, no matter how you spin it.
- He was also very solid defensively, although never made any All-Defensive teams. He got about 1.2 steals a game in his prime and .6 blocks a game as well. His positional defense was also very, very good and you could count on him to better his opponent because of his solid offense and rock solid defense.
- For a small forward, Jefferson did a good job distributing the ball averaging just over 4 assists a game in his prime. Jefferson was the consumate small forward, able to do anything you needed him to do. You could count on 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, nearly 2 stocks on good percentages for the vast majority of his career. Those are damn solid numbers.
Arguments Against Induction
- Re: NOT ENOUGH AWARDS
- Look at all that flowery language needed to even make a case at all. Especially the first non awards part about "ability to fit into a team" and his game being "inoffensive", its seriously not enough to put stipulations on his averagish stats and expect his case to now be Hall of Fame worthy.
- Somewhat turnover prone, did a decent enough job keeping his turnovers down for his career but when he did big time volume his turnovers rose to an almost unexceptable level. His game might not have been so "inoffensive" huh?
- Below average rebounder for a small forward. He does everything at least average besides rebounding.
- Overall its a tough case to make for such an average player. He had some good to near great seasons, but just not enough to justify him making the Hall of Fame. Simple as that.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully!
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
