The 78th nominee of the NBN Hall of Fame, Chris Paul, and final of the 2020 class was one of, if not the best point guard in league history. Once again, there is no question about whether or not Chris Paul is a Hall of Famer, its about whether or not Chris Paul is the greatest point guard to ever play in NBN. Lets take a hard look here.

Arguments For Induction
- Deep breath here, as we're dealing with one of the most decorated players in history.... Chris Paul was a three time champion, potentially the best player on each of those teams and winning playoff MVP in 2 of them. He also played in 9 All-Star Games winning MVP in one of those. As for end of the season awards he was named to 4 All-League second teams, 5 All-League First teams, 2 All-Defensive second teams, 2 All-Defensive First teams, and won a MVP award as well proving how great he was.
- Where to begin? Chris Paul was by far the best distributor in all of league history, finishing 1st in assists. His 10.3 career assist average would sit 4th this year. Ten seasons in his career he averaged over 10 assists per game. For 14 of his 17 seasons he finished the season with at least 9.5 assists, which would put him top 10 in assists for for over 80% of his career. Absolutely insane passing here. You cannot deny someone with this elite of a skill. Even if you want to say Carlos Boozer wasn't an elite rebounder and only topped the lists because of his longevity, you cannot say the same about Chris Paul.
- Paul was also a fantastic defender, among the best in league history. Four All-Defensive teams and a league leader in steals proves this. He averaged 2.5 steals a game for his career and was 2.7 or better five seasons in his career. Again though, his 2.5 career average would put him tied for 5th this year. You can't argue with the numbers.
- Not exactly his best asset, CP3 was also a pretty damn good scorer. He averaged 21.4 points a game for his career, which is a pretty solid number. He finished his career top 20, 18th to be exact, proving to be a fantastic all around player.
- Overall for CP3, he was a amazing all around player with no real weakness in his game. He was a winner, he was an all timer at his position, potentially the best. He finished 2nd in triple doubles, proving again how amazing he was all around. There wasn't anything CP3 couldn't do and he is a true legend, a Hall of Famer to be remembered.
Arguments Against Induction
- There isn't much here, just a few quick gripes about his career. He wasn't an elite scorer, averaging over 24 points a game only once. He never showed up on the best defenders list, only has four defensive awards, and only finished as high as he did in steals because of his long career. Not to say he wasn't an elite thief. And he does fall a bit short awards wise, given how long he played. But its a hard case to make against someone who for 14 years you could bank on 20 points, 11 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and some damn good percentages without many turnovers. Its a hard case to make against him being a Hall of Famer, in fact its impossible. But best point guard ever? I don't know about all that.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
