PG Panagiotis Giannakis 10,500,000
PG Nico Mannion 3,310,656
SG Anfernee Simons 17,187,500
SG Si Green. 3,063,659
SF Jack Twyman 10,129,167
SF Dike Eddleman 7,000,000
PF Maurice Stokes 12,500,000
PF Rudy LaRusso 2,830,491
C Goga Bitadze 9,029,166
C Bill Russell 3,321,514

Doing these lineups can you help you what divisions have the most talent and the Midwest is loaded with young guys. My auto locks were Mannion, Twyman, Stokes and Goga. At PG Mannion is a lock on the last year of his rookie deal. My other option was between Booboo and Giannakis. Booboo’s all-around game is still great, but his scoring totals and efficiency have dropped and combined with salary difference, I had to go with Giannakis. Mannion and Giannakis should battle for PG supremacy of the Midwest for quite a few years. At SG Simons isn’t putting up the gaudy scoring numbers he has in the past, but he’s a very well rounded player and easily the best SG in the division. The 2nd spot I needed to go cheap and it came down to Si Green vs Jalen Green and Si is just the better player at this point. At SF Tywman took the leap and has cemented himself as a top 5 SF in the league at just 24 years old. The 2nd spot I just couldn’t afford the salary to get Schmidt, but that was definitely my goal. Ultimately Dike is the only SF with a median salary that I could afford. At PF Stokes has turned into a monster, among the best rebounder and shot blockers in the league while also being one of the best scorers at the position. LaRusso was chosen at the backup almost by default. He’s still pretty raw, but there really aren’t any other PF options in the division outside of Skinny who I couldn’t afford. At Center I think Goga or Dino is the best in the division, but choosing Goga for the $6mil salary difference. The last spot I’m taking Russell who has disappointed offensively, but has been outstanding as a rebounder and shot blocker. Overall I think this is probably the best lineup in the league this season. It has everything you’d want from a team with defense, scoring, and rebounding.
Bitadze(9,029,166)/Russell(3,321,514)
Stokes(12,500,000)Skinny(13,750,000)
Twyman(10,129,167)/Schmidt(17,500,000)
Terrell(5,000,000)/Green(3,104,934)
Mannion(3,310,656)/James(1,200,000)
Total: $78,845,437
Overview: This was really tough because there is not much talent outside of what I picked and the talent is costly. At center I went with Bitadze who is having a career year and is so underpaid. Russell is a defensive stud and still on his rookie contract which made him an easy choice. At PF I went with the best PF in the league with Stokes. He does it all. Next to him I went with Skinny. Skinny is a stud but I would of liked to use the money somewhere else but not much at PF to like. At SF there are only 2 legit talents and that is Twyman and Schmidt. Twyman is an automatic for his amazing contract and his off the chart skill set. Schmidt is amazing as well but just like Skinny I would of liked to use the money somewhere else but there is no other good talent. Do to the spending I had to go with Terrell and Greeen. Terrell is taking advantage of playing for a team with no talent and being he is only being paid 5 mill he has to be taken and Green who will be good at some point is a good choice but probably a year or 2 down the road. At PG I went with Mannion who is on the last year of his rookie deal and is an easy choice. I then went with James who is only paid the LLE and has always played better than his ratings. He is a great bargain. But do to that I was left leaving off some legit talent that should be here but this is why doing it this way makes it so interesting.

PG Bob Cousy 10,000,000
PG Frankie Brian 6,000,000

SG Glen Selbo 5,000,000
SF Eddie Calder 18,000,000
SF Jalen Johnson.. 3,042,835
PF Jack Kerris 9,000,000
PF Ty Rodgers 4,600,000
C Honglin Qu 4,727,885
C Janis Krumins 1,836,244

This division always gets a cheat code by having the MVP at such a cheap salary. My auto locks were Cousy, Belov, Kerris and Qu. At PG there’s nothing else left to say about Cousy that hasn’t been stated before. Brian is having a fantastic year despite his age and comes at a real discount salary wise. At SG, Belov is a flat out stud and could be argued that he’s the best in the league at this point. There are some real good SGs in this division, but I just couldn’t fit a 2nd one. Holloway, Dort, Jesus, Bobby are all being paid $16+ mil. Selbo was the only reasonable guy to slide in and he gives some good offense off the bench. SF came down to Calder vs Chia and I just can’t get past the TO issues with Chia. I don’t think Johnson is ready to be named to one of these teams, but just there wasn’t any other cheap options in the division. Kerris is a very good value at 9mil and gives you what you need out of a PF. I like Rodgers versatility, but it was a close call between him and someone like Heinsohn. At Center both Qu and Krumins are outstanding values for their price as defensive big man. Overall this division lacks “star power” outside of Cousy and Belov, but it would be a very well rounded team. I think the lack of scoring from the bigs is a weakness though compared to the other lineups.
Bellamy(2,888,256)/Qu(4,727,885)
Kerris(9,000,000)/Thiolin(5,000,000)
Calder(18,000,000)/Blanchfield(8,533,958)
Belov(17,500,000)/Selbo(5,000,000)
Cousy(10,000,000)/Groat(3,351,803)
Total: $79,001,902
Overview: The Pacific was one of the easier lineups to make. Belov and Cousy were guarantees. Belov is such a stud and has always been a favorite and Cousy gets paid nothing compared to his value. At center I went with Bellamy who is a stud at center and only needs some work on defense and Qu who is paid little to be a very good defensive big. At PF I went with a favorite in Kerris who is on a team friendly deal and then Thiolin who is having an amazing year and is only getting paid 5 mill a year. At SF I went with all league 1st team Calder who has the clippers in place to make a run to the finals. He has finally put it all together and those draft notes for Russell finally got his defense good enough to make him a full on stud. Next to him I went with Balnchfield who is so versatile and being able to play 3 positions is huge. Next to Belov I went with Selbo as I need a cost friendly option and Selbo is that with the ability to backup at PG if needed. Lastly I went with Groat who is 0aud very little and outside of his turnover issues is a very good option especially as a backup.
