The new Knicks GM Braz was hired last season with high hopes. The New York fans are hoping he can bring the same new culture and ideas that Brodie Van wagen has brought to the new York Mets. After several unncessful seasons tanking the New York Hopeful prayed that top pick Cliff Hagan would deliver the garden a title. After seasons of disappointing results the old GM was banished from the city and calls were made to top candidates around the industry. This caught the ear of former 10x NBADSL GMOTY and 6 time champion. Braz was comfortable in retirement but true chance to run New York was too much to pass up.
Through 2039 Braz took time to learn the league. Things have changes drastically from his last stint. Braz is now an old man in the year 2039 and top player on the way out include the sons of the goats of his day and age.international play is booming and the G league is stronger then ever. Players are even so much better these days. So many guys have A ratings. Across the board athletes have improved at least 20%. This was all a big change for Braz so his welcoming wasn't easy from a knowledge standpoint but the commish and some old friends welcomed him with open arms.
Through 2039 Braz only made one change and few significant roster moves and this led to the tied 4th worst record in the league. Braz was fucked in the lotto and fell to 7. This left with a tough choice... Stay or go. Win or tank. The pick wasn't good enough to tank truely but the immediate return from moving 7 wasn't good enough to try to win. Braz best offer was Zion Wade who is a part of a story to be told. Braz ended up deciding it's best to move on from Hagan who was a top 10 player in the league for the 4th pick and assets.
Fast forward a few weeks and a few trades later. The biggest move was the cheap aquisition of Qu from the Sonic's.
Tides have turned a bit after 2 weeks of the 2040 season. With not many teams looking to compete the Knicks GM braz decided it could be a great chance to . With out giving up any picks of their own Shaffer or rj Hampton the Knicks aquire 3 players who can majority improve thier team for this 2040 NBA season
With a starting rotation of Qu- yuri- wade- barret- daneu
This team is 4-4 but will now have a combine 7 blocks per game from their starting bigs with another 2.5 on the bench. This team should see one of the most athletic back courts with a PG who is a former all defensive second team and a hungry rookie who is getting his debut at SG which could take some pressure off and let the shots fly. Something tells me this won't be Braz last trade as we move forward, but will be be willing to part with the 4 or 7 pick or last draft or even his own future picks? It would likely take a big haul but don't count it out.....
