Arguments For Induction
- Grimes consistently fell in that "top 5" shooting guard list for the majority of his career. He was constantly a defensive force and shot extremely well for such a high-volume shooter, putting up 12 seasons of 45% or higher from the field.

- Grimes was one of the impact players on two amazing championship squads, making one of the league's best 1-2 duos in history with point guard Frank Ntilikina. 

- One of the league's best scorers in terms of pure volume. 45th in points, 37th in field goals, 24th in three pointers. Pretty fantastic achievement for a guy who never really fell off in the long run.

Arguments Against Induction
- The lack of awards is kind of tough. Somehow, Grimes never made an All-League team, which is insane to me considering he had 9 seasons of over 22 PPG, 6 RPG, 3 APG, and 2+ stocks per game.

- Kind of light on the POTG, POTW, POTM argument. Not a whole lot there, outside of 80 player of the game awards.

- With so many great shooting guards, did he do enough to make a clear cut Hall of Fame case? He was an elite player for most of his career, but there are many others who have had tough roads to the Hall with a similar situation.

Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. Never made an All-League team and only 1 All-Star Game appearance was too much of a hurdle to overcome when it comes to induction into the HOF

No. He didn't do enough for a SG to get in. Averaged just under 20 a game, which led to very few league accolades. It's a no.

Good player, great defender, but just didn't do enough to earn HOF honors.

I'm voting yes, he was an efficient scorer, an elite defender, and a great rebounder for his position too. His scoring totals are down because he spend most of his career with Frank Ntilikina and Andrew Wiggins and traded stats for a career of playoff appearances and two championships. If he's on the Bulls for 15 years then he's a 30 ppg scorer and everyone is talking about how he is a lock for the HOF. I'm not going to penalize him for his team.

I didn't get to witness his career first hand, but looking at the accolades and his legacy that he left behind, Im going to have to vote no. On paper with just the one All Star appearance, and no All League team awards its just not enough juice to win me over. Im sure as A. Silver said, he sacrificed a lot to play on good teams and win those 2 championships, but In his whole career he didn't accomplish much more than that and I just don't think his resume stands up to the test of timeless legends.

I'm going with yes also. As stated by commish, he was on some really good teams which knocked him down a bit. Even late in his career, he was still solid which we can't say about most of our HOFs. I think he was much better than his stats indicate post-career.

Voting yes, I agree with Silver, plus I think he wasn't used as much late in career, so the stats are very off for how good he was in his playing days.

If you take away his rookie year and last four years where he wasn't used much or the right way, he was a 22.75ppg scorer, which is pretty drastic in increase for how long his career was.

His defense was top notch and I think it was close, but more positives to lean yes than no for me, but it was close I give that.

Grimes was always a very good player. He was a key component to the kings winning 2 championships but with his lack of awards and him being under a 20 a game scorer I have to go with no. I really expected more from him but he will go down in the very good hall of fame but just misses being in the the real one.
