1. SF Havlicek-Cavs
Pre- B B B+ A- C+ A
Post- B+ B A- A C+ A
A nice opening TC for Hondo. He improved his inside, handles, and defense. I have plans to keep him as my super sub to start to try utilize his draft notes to keep his potential up, but man he looks promising. It seems I have found a legit star to become the face of my franchise.
2. PF Gus Johnson-Mavericks
Pre- B C C B+ B+ A
Post- B C C B+ A- A
An average opening TC for Gus. His rebounding has improved, but everything else remained the same. It is nice to see that he retained his A potential so that he will have a lot of room to grow. It would have been huge for lynchcats to resign Nicholson for his mentoring abilities, but he will still have time to find one for Gus. He still has nice draft notes and should be able to utilize those at least twice I'd assume.
3. SG Earl Manigault-Heat
Pre- B+ C+ D B- C+ A
Post- B+ B- D B C+ B
The good news for Manigault and the Heat is that he improved his outside scoring and defense, the bad news is he is showing B potential now. He has a great mentor in Guerin and that will help him develop even more. I would think Don will look to full rebuild and Manigault is a nice piece to start with, but his draft notes need for him to be on a playoff team...interesting see what Don does.
4. SG Larry Siegfried-Sonics
Pre-C+ B C+ B+ C A
Post- C+ B B- B+ C B
I think Bigthunder was hoping for a better TC here. The only improvement was handling and he is at B potential so his draft notes are pretty much lost. Bigthunder has some work to do with Larry, but has a nice mentor in town already with Selvy on the roster. Overall though, I bet thunder is disappointed.
5. PF Darrall Imhoff-Bucks
Pre-C+ D C- B+ B+ A
Post- B- D C- B+ A- A
I would be very pumped if he was on my roster about this TC. He improved his inside scoring and rebounding and maintained his A potential. I would be a bit worried about his FT shooting ability and his TOs per game, but from first glance it looks like the Bucks have a future starter in Imhoff.
6. SF Don Krojis-Bulls
Pre-B B- D+ C+ B A
Post- B B+ D C+ B A
Love this pick and love this TC. I thought he would get drafted higher than #6 and the Bulls really didnt need a SF but he was too good to pass up. Going from a B- to a B+ in outside is awesome and he maintained his A potential...the Bulls have a future star IMO at SF.
7. PF Ray Scott-Kings
Pre- C+ B+ B- B- B- A
Post- C+ B B- B- B A
Another pick that I liked during the draft because of his initial rankings. He declined in his outside rankings which would worry me if he was on my team. At least he improve his rebounding rating and maintained his potential. The Kings need a lot of help and the development of Scott will be huge for the future of their franchise.
8. PG Dior Johnson-Rockets
Pre-B C+ B+ C+ C+ A
Post- B C+ A C+ C A
The first PG taken in the draft and a guy that I had my eye on if I were to get a 3+ draft pick. The positives are that his handles went from a B+ all the way to an A, that is great for a rookie PG. The negatives is his scoring and defense remained the same and his rebounding declined. He needs to improve his scoring and defense to become a legit player in this league and Im worried the Rockets won't camp him into a starter.
9. C Bretner Mutombo-Bucks
Pre- C+ D C B+ B A
Post-C+ D+ C A- B B
Mutombo was able to improve his defense and outside scoring while maintaining everything else and moving to a B potential. He is going to be a defensive big man that probably wont become much of a scorer for the Bucks. Improving his rebounding will be key and is a must for the Bucks IMO. Him and Imhoff will be the future PF/C duo in Milwaukee.
10. PF Rafael Rullian-Spurs
Pre-B- B C+ B- C+ A
Post- B B C+ B C+ A
A great TC for Rullian, who will be overseas for another year before becoming a Spur. Carmelo got a good one here and he looks like he will become a nice stretch 4 in the future. Spurs seem to be heading towards a rebuild and Rullian is a nice piece to have at the start of it.
11. PG Gianfranco Pieri-76ers
Pre-C+ B B B+ C B
Post-C+ A- A- A- C A
It looks like Slough drafted a nice future PG at 11 in this draft. Not surprising he finds a nice player late in the lottery as he has had success drafting guys and camping them towards success. Pieri improved his outside, handles, and defense and went to A potential...wow. Plus he has draft notes to improve passing and handles even more...he could become a very good starting PG in this league.
12. PG Pee Wee Kirkland-Warriors
Pre-C+ B B- B C- A
Post-C+ B C+ B C- B
Pee Wee had a bad TC as he stayed in the same in everything except him declining in handles and potential. He does offer more value off the court as well as you can get a free PED camp out of him. Just hope the guy doesnt get caught or Pee Wee is also suspended. He does have an awesome mentor in Lumpp and Silver can develop guys pretty well.
13. SG Gary Phillips-Hawks
Pre-C+ B- C+ B- C A
Post- C+ B B- B C B
You see some improvements here in outside, handles, and defense...but potential down to B. I think he can be camped into a good starting SG for the Hawks that can take over for Raga in the future. Not bad value for the 13th pick in the draft though if you are willing to pay to camp him.
15. SG Zeerack Rana-Wizards
Pre-B- B+ C+ B C- C
Post-B- B+ C+ B- C- C
Yikes. He is going to need a lot of GM cash to potentially become a starter in this league. He probably should have been sent down to the gleague to help him develop, but now he is going to need a lot of camping.
17. SF Boris Tisma-Blazers
Pre-C B C B- C A
Post-C A- C- B C B
Tisma is overseas for one more year and had a pretty solid year 1 TC. Going from a B to A- outside is awesome and from B- to B defensively...Jelly might have found a future starting SF with the 17th pick. I bet he sends him to the G league next year and lets him develop even more.
18. SF Wayne Brabender-Bucks
Pre-C B+ C C+ C A
Post-C A- C+ C+ C A
I actually really like this pick and TC for the Bucks. I probably would have sent him to the Gleague year 1, but nice TC helps. He could be developed into a starting SF in this league but having a plethora of rookies on the Bucks roster worries me about the camps that will be thrown around (or lack of camps) in Milwaukee.
19. PF Anatolly Polyvoda-Blazers
Pre-C+ C D- B- B- A
Post-B- C F+ B B+ A
With him being overseas for two more seasons, I actually really like this TC and pick for the Blazers. He improved inside, rebounding, and defense while maintaining his A. The F+ handles worries me but that can hopefully be worked on enough to not make it a huge flaw.
20. C Walker Kessler-Hornets
Pre-B C D+ C+ B B
Post-B C C- C+ B C
I think it is going to take a lot from Rog to make Kessler a future starter or even a backup 4/5 in this league. He probably would have been better off going to the Gleague for a season and developing there.
26. PG Ivan Mrazek-Blazers
Pre-C B B A- F+ B
Post-C B+ B+ A- D- B
I traded this pick to the Blazers and had I kept it, was going to select Mrazek. I think he had a nice TC and looks like he can become a solid backup G in the future. Him being 28 might hurt his development, but he looks like he could be a solid piece to a team...just not a main one.
29. SF Jordan Nwora-Bulls
Pre-B- B C- B- C B
Post-B- B D+ C+ C B
Nwora got worse and already has two better SFs in front of him. This looks like a wasted pick for the Bulls.
Everyone else was either sent down to the gleague or a 2nd rd pick.
Pre- B B B+ A- C+ A
Post- B+ B A- A C+ A
