Arguments For Induction
- If Brian had played just a few more seasons, he'd be first-ballot auto-in. Start to finish in his career, he was an absolutely incredible talent. No doubt about that at all, as the guy put up 27, 8.5, and 2 stocks on a career 47.3%.

- Champion and playoff MVP with the Clippers. All-Star. 3-Point Shootout Champion. Rookie of the Year. 

- Came into the league as a 28 year old and dominated until he retired at 36. No way around it.

Arguments Against Induction
- Longevity is lacking, sadly. It's hard to put a guy in with such few games, but if anyone is that guy, it'll be Brian.

- One of the most underrated talents of the last NBN decade. Guy moved around to five different teams in nine years, but he was always extremely good.

- Lack of leaderboard rankings doesn't help, but that's more due to his short career than anything.

Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.

I had to vote no. He was really good, but he was never a top 3 PG and having only played 711 career games it's just not enough. If you are going to play that few games, you needed to be the best PG in the league for a few seasons atleast.

He has flashes of being surprisingly good early on, but he was exposed as very expendable by the Wizards and they got way better without him. Definitely a no for me.

I'm voting yes here - he was an elite PG when he was playing and also won a championship as the lead guard. Voting him in as a Grizzly because that's where he got his start and also got built up in the G League.

No I agree with Nets and Nate here. Flashes of a borderline elite guy but he wasn't ever a top 3 PG in the league and he doesn't have the longevity to offset that. Close but no.

Just because he wasn't a "top three" PG doesn't mean he wasn't elite. ESPECIALLY at the deepest position in FBB. My only beef with Brian getting in the HOF is the lack of longevity. I can't play the what if game, meaning what if he had played earlier than age 28. The skills say yes, but the longevity and career totals just say no.

Given his limited time in the league, what he was able to achieve was impressive. Still won a lot of awards and helped me win a title when I stole him from Bundy. Wish he had a longer career but I think that what he was able to accomplish was still HOF worthy. I'm voting him in as a member of my squad because that's where he had his best years and where he won a title and Playoff MVP.

I'm voting yes, he was absolutely fantastic in the time here and just because the Wizards found a better option for their team doesn't mean it was because Brian was bad. He obviously could do it as he was constantly in the mix with his contending teams as the point guard on those teams and won a title as that guy as well. Anyone who plays 9 seasons and averages 27 points and 8.5 assists with the percentages he shot, while winning a title and being on contenders basically his entire career, yeah hes a Hall of Famer in my book.

disagree honestly. Cousy, Lumpp, McAdoo and probably someone else I'm forgetting were the elite. He was always a tier below the elite. He reminds me of the clips current PG Costello. Very good but is he a HoFer or even "elite" ? I don't think so. There's so many good PGs I don't think the Brian's and Costello's of the world constitute being elite. Hall of Very good players imo.

I'm voting Yes with the clippers. Won a title with them and was one of the more efficient great players in his limited career. Too bad he went to the city where they all retire, or he would have had another nice few years.

I voted Yes - Grizzlies. Spent a ton of time there before the NBN. Definitely think he's a HoF player.

Voted yes as a Grizz..not the longest career but the dude was 25/10 right off the start and put up those kind of numbers till the end. Barley turned the ball over and his percentages were solid every season. Was one of the first D league superstars as well, picked up a ton of awards down there when with the Grizz that helped him become the player the he was. Spend alot of time and $ on him!
