Arguments For Induction
- Those leaderboard rankings are absolutely spectacular. 51st all-time in points, 8th in assists, 68th in steals, 44th in field goals, 42nd in 3 pointers, 47 in double doubles, 6 in triple doubles. Fantastic career filled with a theme of longevity. 

- One of the best in the league for the majority of his career. While the All-League teams weren't necessarily there, he was a fantastic scorer who put up some awesome seasons. 

- No faults at all. Through his prime, he didn't turn over the ball at an alarming rate, but what he did was fantastic. Scoring? Fantastic. Passing? Awesome. Above average rebounder, good on stocks, and only fouled out of 14 games over his career.

Arguments Against Induction
- No ring. Toughie. Played many years for competitive teams like the Warriors, Celtics but never got his.

- Lack of awards will hurt. Only two All-League third teams, no all-star appearances, and honestly, I'm shocked by this. 25+ PPG scorer half a dozen times in his career while racking up assists too.

- Usage at the end of his career wasn't the best either. Was either used as a bench mob player or non-option for the last few seasons of his career, which is a shame considering he was still fantastic at the end of his career.

Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.

Yes for me, Warriors. Spent the best of his prime on the Warriors and had the most longevity with them as well.

Yes for me as well. Often found himself as the fourth man behind Lumpp, McAdoo and Cousy for most of his career so he couldn't accrue many awards. The stats are enough to get him in as a very efficient shooter from the PG position. His most prolific years were with the Warriors, so that is who I'm giving the vote to.

Easy yes - he was an elite scorer in his prime, turned into an elite passer as he got older, always was a decent defender, had great efficiency throughout his career, played for winners....what more could you ask for? Unless you are a h8r

Easy yes for me. Despite the lack of awards in his prime he was good for like 24ppg and 10apg every single night for like 8 years

I'm voting yes. His stats sheet is pretty impressive and he was an all around great player. The lack of awards is a big knock, but he had a few all-timers that overlapped him in his career

It'll be a little inconsistent from me voting yes considering I've voted no due to no awards before but I'm going yes. Smith was almost a flawless PG at his peak and had the longevity for good numbers. If even one of Booboo/Lumpp/Cousy weren't around his awards would be a lot different.

Absolutely a yes for me. He was almost like the Dame of the modern day NBA where he’s a stone cold killer and was very loyal to his teams, dominating along the way, but was overshadowed by playing with all time greats to reduce his accolades. I wish I could say he was at his best for my team, but that was kind of the end of his prime, so a vote for the warriors from me.

I voted yes. He was very good and more underrated than people think. Its really hard to rate on awards sometimes in this league with PG's because the game molds to them. Too bad I had him when he was young so I didn't get him to go in as a Sixer.

Voted yes. Guy went out and stuffed the stat sheet every night. Tonokay that many games and have that many double doubles and player of the games is incredible. Sure some other awards weren’t there but Joe Smith was the real deal
