I was looking at the prospects and compiled a little big board so figure'd I'd share. Note that I'm just going off of the ratings on the page so take this with a grain of salt. I kinda just wanted to see how my lottery panned out in the future.
1. Golden State Warriors - Dave Bing. SG 6'3'' 180 19 B- B B+ C+ C A
There's no clear cut number 1 pick but Bing is a guy with good notes and the most solid mixture of athletics, age, and potential. The Warriors need youth at just about everywhere so this is a solid building block going into the future regardless of where Silver decides to play him.
2. Detroit Pistons - Jerry Sloan SG 6'5'' 195 20 C+ B- C A- C+ A
Maybe I just love Sloan irl but I'd probably pick him number 1 this year. Sloan irl was the original great Bulls guard and an amazing cantankerous coach of the Utah Jazz. In the NBN he comes in with solid across the board ratings and probably great potential. I think his floor is a Manuel Raga player and his ceiling a Bobby McDermott all leaguer. The Pistons would have a great 2 guard to build around. Plus Sloan has a quote I tell myself everytime I sleep with my wife, "Size doesn't make any difference; heart is what makes a difference."
3. Sacramento Kings - Jon McGlocklin SG 6'5'' 205 20 C A- B- C+ D+ A
The Glock was an OG long range shooter irl and should be coming into the league as well. Already coming in a sharp shooter if the Kings can put athletic camps into him he has Belov potential. At minimum he should be a Bill Sharman outside shooter type. Take the guaranteed 20+ point scorer and move on.
4. Chicago Bulls - Gail Goodrich. SG 6'1'' 170 20 C+ B B C+ D A
Gail Goodrich is a hall of famer irl and has that potential here. He comes in with instant super sub potential and should turn into an all league level player if he doesn't get drafted to the Bulls. I wish Gail came in as a better shooter but he averaged nearly 30 in the camps so I suppose if he was any better he'd be the guaranteed #1 pick. Maybe I'm underrating him but the guys above him look insanely fun to have so I guess the all around SG gets shafted here. Still whoever gets him is getting someone with good odds to bust out.
5. Sacramento Kings - Cazzie Russell SF 6'5'' 220 19 B- B- B- C+ C+ A
There's no clear number 1 but the 1-5 in this draft is pretty great and could go in any order. Cazzie plays a premium position and comes in with potentially great athletics and a well rounded skillset. He comes in with flaws in his handling and potentially his jumpshot so that knocks him down in my eyes. Still though if the Kings walk away from this draft with blue chip prospects at SG and SF you have to consider that a great draft.
6. Milwaukee Bucks - Walt Hazzard PG 6'2'' 185 20 C+ B- B+ B C- B
After the top 5 is where this draft starts to get muddy. I chose Hazzard for the 6 spot. Hazzard plays a premium position and comes in with a solid all around skillset with good handling. If Hazzard has top flight potential behind that B rating the Bucks could have their new franchise PG.
7. Philadelphia 76ers - Arturo Guerrero SG 6'4'' 185 19 B- B+ C C C- A
The 7th ranked prospect on my board might not fit with the 76ers current roster but none the less its a guy I've never heard of in Guerrero. Guerrero is an athletic teenager with B+ outside so he looks like a really solid scorer ratings wise. He's going to need a lot of love to become an all around force but Guerrero looks like a Kicanovic type guy and shouldn't fall lower than this range.
8. LA Lakers - Bill Bradley SF 6'5'' 205 20 C+ B- B B C A
LA needs a youth infusement and they get their next forward project here in Bradley. Bradley has fun draft notes and an all around skillset. I'm not sure Bradley has all league potential but by the 8th pick I think getting a guy thats a jumpshot away from being a starter is a solid move.
9. Philadelphia 76ers - Happy Hairston. PF 6'7'' 225 21 B B- C C+ B A
Happy should be a controversial prospect based on how you like your bigs. Happy scored an insane amount in the predraft camp and comes in with likely great athletics and scoring ratings. Happy also has notes that could give him monster potential. I could see Happy being drafted as high as 5 or as low as 10-15. Best case scenario you have a Naulls level player at worst you could be looking at a Forest Sale bench rotation guy.
10. Miami Heat - Flynn Robinson. SG 6'1'' 185 20 C+ B+ B C D A
At 10 we have the Miami Heat selecting, wait for it, can you believe it? Another SG. Flynn Robinson is an undersized sharpshooter that has good notes that could be activated by the Heats current roster. Flynn should turn into a dynamic scorer and will probably be a fantastic bench piece super sub his whole career. Maybe not a star but I like Flynn a lot and should be a lot of fun.
11. Seattle SuperSonics - Bill Green PF 6'6'' 210 22 B C+ D C+ B- B
A 22 year old undersized PF comes in squarely at 11. Green is here because of his notes that could shoot his potential up and his athletic/inside rating. I love uber athletic high potential guys and Bill Green is that. Green is probably a boom or bust guy and I think 11 to the Sonics is a good place to put a guy like this. I could see him fall down the draft for sure but he has a moderate chance of booming. Seattle can kind of go in any direction here so I figured they'd take a shot in the dark.
12. GS Warriors - Mel Counts C 7'0'' 230 21 C+ B+ D- C+ B- A
Late in the lotto everything is going to be kind of a roll of the dice. Here the commish rolls the dice on a stretch big and hopes he gets a Cosic light out of it. Counts shot the lights out and was on the rebounding leaderboard in the pre draft camps so he deserves a spot here. I could see Counts being a contributor on the commishes future title contenders.
13. Washington Wizards - Archie Clark. SG 6'2'' 175 19 C+ B- B B- D A
Clark is my last lottery selection and a guy I'd like to take a shot on personally. Clark was a scorer in the pre draft camps and not much else. To offset that he's super young and showing A potential, if he was a little more athletic he'd be fighting for top 5-10. At 13 this is the kind of guy you roll the dice on.
