Obvious yes, the best player in the league until West came along. Worth noting that his impact on the league wasn't necessarily how good he was, but also his draft note that allowed his contract to stay low. That definitely won't be happening in the new league, although I can't guarantee that no single player will ever dominate the way Cousy did.
