and Garland hasn't been on a legit playoff team in his career and genuinely costs every team he's on by turning the ball over at a league-leading rate regularly. If Edwards gets back to where he was before his volume was taken away and then he was relegated to the bench for whatever reason, I'd say Edwards is a much more valuable player than Garland is. Few years removed from an All-D team and he was an elite scorer before the Knicks decided to kill his career trajectory. 8.5.6 |

IMO: The Lakers nailed this trade. Not only did they get rid of an inefficient asset who isn't able to play PG due to those in-efficiencies who frankly hurts his team more than he helps by dragging down his teammates and turning the ball over, they got a first round pick and Edwards, who could very well be one of the better SG's in the league given the right opportunity. Had the Knicks not killed Edwards by first taking away his volume and then benching him after multiple All-Defensive teams, this trade probably looks way more lopsided. I'll assume the Lakers will turn Edwards back into the star he once was. 8.5.6 |

Knicks offered this package to me for James which tbh didn’t suprise one bit with how he values players. Its a dumb trade by the Knicks, if they are going to be running Wagner - Garland - Hampton in the same lineup then I highly doubt they make the playoffs, should have looked for an all round SF. |

I'm pretty confident Edwards is still good enough to be a mid-level starter, but yeah, he offered me the same deal for Cole Anthony. First it was $750, his first, and Edwards.
