Jazz get: Bates, Marzorati, 1000 cash Nuggets get: Lbjr, Green, mavs 31 1st I agree. Hate to lose the mavs pick but getting Bates who i feel is a better weapon offensively and getting the cash to camp Guerrero and Jones once right now is hard to pass up. We have been in talks for a good while around a type of deal. vanimmer good hard dealing like always |

As long as the mavs stay where they were last year I am totally ok with it. Have to do what ever is needed to take that next step. Bates will give me that offensive production LeBron is just not capable of. |

Head scratcher for the Nuggets IMO. Bates is the better player and the Mavs don’t look terrible this season. Seems like they will take a step back for a middle of the road 1st.

I asked about Bates for quite a few seasons, no point in trading the #1 pick + for a guy who won’t make my team a contender at this point. I think you scared people off with your asking price honestly and ended up holding the bag. I can understand why, but I feel like that’s what ended up happening. |

If you came to me and said #1 for Bates, I would have heavily leaned toward doing it. You wanted #1 + assets. You also mentioned moving him for #2 + assets. I’m not sure what the other offers were, but from my perspective it sounded as if you wanted way more than what I was willing to give.

I just deleted al my messages but I m pretty sure i Came Back to you for a 1-1 after you drafted Schmidt which you declined TC showed exactly why i want more then one unproven Guy for a 26 y old stud like Bates. Alot of guys that we're in my trade talks didnt deliver in TC. Only Gervin did |

You asked if you could get #1 without sending Bates or what “package” I would send to get Bates. I declined, you asked what my best offer would be before you moved Bates for #2 + assets. To me that equates more than just #1. I’m happy with Schmidt, 19 and B- B+ uncamped, I can see him getting to Bates level offensively.
