As a defensive stalwart, Wendell Carter Jr developed quickly into an integral part of multiple teams, with 3 Championships along the way. Will this be enough to get him into the Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- While Carter was never a tremendous offensive asset, his defensive/rebounding abilities were near the best in the league for many, many years. He was a consistent 4+ stock defender and 13+ rebound grabber for about a decade, and with 683 double doubles, you can pretty easily see how he got his.
- Three time Champion will definitely help the case. While he wasn't ever going to get many achievements that were there for his solo play outside of defensive recognition, he was one of the better big men to have on your roster for many, many years there. Similar to other DPOY's like Victor Wembanyama and Jayden Nicholson, it's very hard to argue against pure numbers and success defensively and on the boards.
- Sheer longevity should help in WCJ's case as well. From 2019-2031, he played a significant role on every team he was on and never really fell off in terms of production. Even in his final year, with minimal minutes in a bench role, he was still producing and helping out his team in whatever role they asked of him.
Arguments Against Induction
- The lack of offensive efficiency doesn't necessarily help his case. There's a few solid years in there where he shot 44% or higher, but for the most part, he was a fairly mediocre producer as an offensive asset.
- He was never much of a distributor as a big man, which is unfortunate because that was likely his biggest downside as a player. He had multiple years with more TOPG than APG, which is genuinely hard to do when you're a guy who shoots with significant volume and grabs a lot of boards.
- No POTW's, no POTM's, one All-League Third team. Outside of the DPOY, there's not a whole lot there in terms of awards at a fairly weak position. A lot of this has to do with a lack of offense and FBB's weird approach to awards, but still, not a big positive.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
