Pablo Sanchez
Otherwise known as the secret weapon, Pablo intends to bring the skills he learned from the backyard and bring it to the NBN. Pablo has always said there is no secret weapon outside of his work ethic, as he is an absolute workhorse. Each season on his rookie for a cost of 1500, Pablo can be sent to a third improvement camp that ignore his camp history.
Drazen Petrovic
Drazen is looking to cruise his way to numerous mvp awards while he's locked in his international contract. But he still has his eyes set on performing his absolute best when he comes from overseas. During what would be his rookie year after he is out from his international contract, Drazen will be eligible to a free boost to any stat with his rookie experience bonus (so if he were to get a +5 pot boost, he can also get a free +5 to any stat). Along with this, if Drazen wins Rookie of the Year, the potential he gets from the rookie experience will be doubled.
Herb Williams
Dominant with Ohio State, Herb’s excited to take the next step into the league and at 19, who knows how high he can go? Regardless, he’s excited to get going but he’s skeptical of the lack of playing time potentially, considering he’s been playing the majority of every game he’s played since middle school. Herb will benefit significantly from playing time on his rookie deal, and for every year that he starts within those four years, he’ll be given potential boosts of +3, with a potential total of +12 over his rookie deal.
Sly “The Garbage Man” Williams
Sly had an unforgettable NBA career but like his garbage man nickname suggests, he did all of the dirty work and was a very good rebounder for a SF. Whatever rookie potential bonus that he is eligible for, he also gets to add that amount to both offensive and defensive rebounding. If he makes the rookie/sophomore game, eligible both years, however many rebounds, blocks, and steals he gets that to add that amount to his ratings. Ex: 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block and he would get +5 to offensive OR defensive rebounding, +1 shot blocking, +1 steal.
Josh Giddey
Giddey dazzled scouts in the predraft camps, showing that he is potentially the best PG prospect in the draft, even better than Isiah Thomas. Giddey is going to have to work in the gym more, as his biggest weakness is easily his athleticism. Any boosts Giddey gets to any athletic rating, whether it be from camps or the weight room, can be doubled.
Davion Mitchell
Davion was just selected #9 in the NBA draft and on the back of his defensive ability and hopes to improve on that in the NBN. For each draft slot he is selected before #9 he gets to add that many points to any defensive rating each time he is camped. If he is selected #9, he gets a free Perimeter Defense or Hand Eye Coordination camp. Example: If he is selected #7, (9-7=2) he gets to add a +2 to any defensive rating each time he is camped (Per D, Post D, Steal, Block, Def Reb). Eligible entire rookie contr
Franz Wagner
Wagner finds his way into the class feeling a little bit less confident than he thought he would pertaining to his draft stock, thanks to the NBN Scouting Department giving him poor rebounding and shooting ratings even after being a quality rebounder and semi-reliable shooter in college. Wagner is just looking to work with other International players, so much so that he’ll feel boosted if he ends up playing with some of his idols. With that being said, that boost will run into his attributes, allowing for a free +2 to any non-potential attribute per International player that ends up playing alongside Wagner on an NBN roster, with a maximum of five claims (+10 in total) for up to five different Internationals. Eligible only in his rookie year.
Mike Gminski
After dominating at Duke for the first two seasons of his college career, Gminski decided to enter the NBN Draft… which looks like it could potentially be a waste. Scouts are skeptical of his pure ability and one of the league’s talent evaluators even ranked him as a potential non-first round pick, which was surprising to him. Gminski is extremely bright and very willing to learn, wanting desperately to play meaningful basketball to prove everyone wrong. For every year on his rookie contract that Gminski plays at least one minute in the playoffs, he’ll be eligible to get a free improvement camp, free of charge and camp history requirements.
Gilad Levy
Gilad takes pride in being tall and at 7’3 he’s the tallest player in the draft. His B rebounding plus his height will be a great start for him but Gilad wants to show he’s not just a rebounder. For every defensive camp he’s sent to he can add +1 to either Block shot or Post D. Furthermore if he every makes it on the Top 10 for blocks at the end of the season during his rookie contract he can receive +5 to any defensive rating.
Cliff Robinson
Cliff was drafted in the 2nd round in the NBA and had a tremendous 18 year career including making an Allstar team and multiple all defensive teams. After proving doubters wrong in the NBA he is having flashbacks now that NBN scouts think he only has C potential and is ranked as the 53rd best player in the draft. He’s determined to match his NBA success and will need a little help. Whichever draft slot he is selected at, he gets that many points added to his true potential. Ex: If he is selected #25, he gets +25 to his potential. Must be claimed before his first TC.
Len Bias
A supremely skilled but somewhat troubled player, Bias will reach his fullest potential if he is paired with someone able to teach him how to be a pro. If he is mentored by a player named to an All-League on more than one occasion, he'll gain an additional +5 potential beyond the normal bonuses he gets from the mentor camp. If he is camped by someone with 5+ All-League teams, he will receive +10 potential beyond the normal bonuses. And if he is mentored by an MVP or finals MVP, he will receive +5 potential, and two additional +5s to any other rating. These are not stackable, if a player has an MVP AND 5+ All-League Teams, you can choose between the two bonuses but these do not stack. This also are only claimable once, not on both mentor camps a player is eligible for.
Darrell "Dr. Dunkenstein Griffith
Griffith's nickname should tell you what his greatest strength in the NBN will be. Feeding off the popularity his dunk antics get him, plus the desire to be more than just a dunker, Griffith will work to get better in other areas. For every dunk contest in his rookie contract he goes to, he will receive +2 to any rating, including potential/athletics. If he wins one, that total is upped to +5 to any rating. This can be claimed as many as four times(first four seasons of his career, each season if he makes it). Also, Griffith is a shooting guard playing out of position at center. You can move him to shooting guard at any point during his first four season. You can also leave him at center, where you'll get no bonuses for that decision and have a 6'4" playing center.
Liu Jianli**
Jianli is this year's player who believes his scouting report paints a picture that isn't true of him. He believes himself to be a lottery pick, but his D potential will make that tough. If he is in fact picked in the lottery, his potential will be moved to an A. If he is picked in the first round his potential will be moved to a B. If he remains until the second round, Jianli will want to prove his worth and will pay his buyout fee to come over to the NBN right away plus will be able to receive double the attributes from a diamond in the rough camp.
