I don't buy that Edwards was a victim of bad teams. His decline came from 2026-2028 where he was on the same playoff-bound Knicks team and saw both his numbers and ratings suffer starting at his age 24 season. He spent the next few seasons on tanking teams but wasn't even a rotation piece on the 2031 Heat at age 29 or the 2033 Jazz at age 31. Here are his per 36 stats for those three years, showing a player in decline  yea he was an MLE level guy shortly after his decline. If a guy cant find any playing time on multiple different teams for half his career i dont think he should be a HoFer |

I can’t tell you why, but the guy was given a less shot heavy role a year after shooting 49.5% from the field… Not a good idea! |

Yeah, I'm going with a no on here because of the short time as a HOF caliber player. His only value after that was as a mentor

Went from beast to priest within a matter of years. One of the players that literally looked like sure fire HOF to just fell off a cliff and I don't even know why.
