With a career stretch of consistent production from day one until the very end of his career, R.J. Hampton's production is extremely impressive. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- As mentioned in his introduction, RJ produced strong numbers for the entirety of his career wherever he was. While he had long stretches starting for the Nuggets, Wizards, Knicks, and Sonics, he was always productive and as his career progressed, became even better, having some of his most efficient years into his late 20s and early 30s.
- Four All-League teams, four All-Defensive teams, and eight All-Star teams would generally be a pretty good baseline for a Hall of Famer in my eyes, and Hampton's productivity on both ends should cement a very strong case. He had 12 years in a row of 2+ steals per game while also always being over 18 PPG, quite regularly being a 21+ PPG producer.
- Hampton never really had flaws. He was a quality shooter, passer, rebounder (especially for his position), defender, and didn't turn the ball over much along the way. He was a perfect player to build with.
Arguments Against Induction
- The league's strengths over Hampton's career ended up being PG and SG, which left Hampton on the outside looking in occasionally. He really bursted onto the scene with the Knicks and even put up some big numbers on the Sonics, but was always going to be overshadowed by other names like George Gervin, Arturo Guerrero, Ron Boone, and Damion Baugh, just to name a few.
- How SPECIAL was Hampton? That's for you to decide. We've had a lot of conversations among the "Hall of Very Good" vs "Hall of Fame" and this could be a case that has a few people less than sure about what the right answer is.
- Not often we see a player with this type of career end up playing for a bunch of teams and it's also not often that we see a type of player like this with no Championships, no Player of the Month awards, and only 3 POTW's to his name. Hampton was a talent, but his achievements and lack of a ring may not help.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
