Similar to another 2037 NBN HOF nominee steps in the offensive extraordinaire Devin Askew, who put up 11 straight years of 22/8.6 or better. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Askew was remarkably consistent, which is even a surprise for me considering I didn't really think he was THIS good:
The guy was quite literally a guaranteed 22 points a night and, while he had some rotating to SG throughout his career, was very much a dangerous player regardless of the team he was on.
- He shot nearly 46% for his career, grabbed rebounds at a better-than-average rate at PG, never had serious turnover issues, and always passed the ball at a quality 8.5-10 APG clip. On top of that, he was a quality stock contributor especially early on in his career.
- Askew, like another nominee in Lamelo, had issues getting awards, but both did a fair share otherwise. Askew had 10 Player of the Week and 3 Player of the Month awards to go alongside his 493 double-doubles and 29 triple-doubles considering he was always a threat to grab rebounds and pass the ball at a very quality level.
Arguments Against Induction
- Let's do a quick comparison of Askew and Lamelo.
Askew on the left, Lamelo on the right
Games: 1253 - 1333
MPG: 35.6 - 35.3
PPG: 22.6 - 22.5
RPG: 5.0 - 5.7
APG: 8.2 - 7.4
SPG: 1.7 - 1.6
BPG: 0.2 - 0.1
TOPG: 2.6 - 2.0
FG%: .457 - .456
FT%: .774 - .873
3P%: .374 - .406
Considering they're very similar and Lamelo's having some trouble even hitting the 50% mark (surprisingly, to me), how well will Askew do?
- No Championships, no All-Star Games, and only one All-League Team. Will hurt the case a ton to some voters.
- Askew was not necessarily a "super quality" shooter, considering he shot .374 for his career from downtown. While he was a great slasher and mid-range shooter, scoring at a near 46% for his career, his long-range ability was not ever at an elite level.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
