Derek Harper
Widely regarded as one of the best players to ever play in the NBA to not make a All Star game, Harper's legacy could be much different in the NBN. For any all star day event he's in (dunk contest, 3pt contest, rookie sophomore game, all star game) for his entire career, he'll be eligible to a free +2 to any attribute outside of potential.
Dan Marino
Dan the man Marino started his NFL career on fire winning MVP in his 2nd year while setting NFL records. He hopes to replicate that success in the NBN. If he’s named to the All Rookie 1st team he will get two free +5s to any rating. If he makes 2nd team he will get 1 free +5 to any rating.
Bruce Matthews
A two sport athlete, Matthews is choosing basketball over football despite being projected as a top 10 NFL pick. He has almost no offensive game at all, but is a stout defender who has never been injured. If Matthews is ever injured he can have the injury removed entirely. If this happens within the first 4 years of his career he can also add +5 to any defensive rating.
Olden Polynice
Olden Polynice put together a nice, long career. Although he was never truly dominant, he was known for his rebounding. After retiring in 2004, Polynice begin a basketball training program, which he is still doing today. For every camp that Polynice goes to during his rookie contract, he will be able to bring any teammate (who has not been to the ASG), and will be able to improve their rebounding by adding +2 to defensive or offensive rebounding. This can be ANY player regardless of years of experience and any position. On top of that, it doesn’t matter what camp Polynice goes to, he will still be able to bring his teammate to improve their rebounding.
Spud Webb
Spud is one of the shortest players to ever play in the NBA, but that doesn't mean he isn't talented. In order to keep up with the big dogs, Spud is going to have to be more athletic then the guy he is up against. Because of this, Spud will work extra hard in the weight room. Unlike normal weight room camps where you can only choose one area to work on, Spud will gain attributes in all 3 categories each time he is sent. For example, his first weight room he will gain +3 strength, +10 lbs, +3 Jumping, AND +3 Quickness. His second weight room he will gain 2 strength, +5 lbs, +2 Jumping, AND +2 Quickness. His third weight room he will gain +1 strength, +5 lbs, +1 Jumping, AND +1 Quickness.
Michael Adams
-Adams had a weird career. Pretty solid with one elite season mixed in that helped him get to the ASG. He was known for his weird shooting form, but (until Steph curry came along) held the record for 79 consecutive games with a 3 pointer made. For every 10 consecutive games that Adams makes a 3 point basket, he will be able to gain +1 to his jump shot or 3 pt shot with a max of +5 per season (total, not per attribute). Only during his rookie contract, of course.
Mark "Tank" McNamara
This town is only big enough for one Tank, and McNamara knows its not him. LaSalle "Tank" Thompson is a much more highly touted prospect than McNamara, a extremely raw and older player already. But that won't stop him from trying to be the best player he can be. If McNamara is selected in the first round, every camp he is sent to can have its boosts doubled if the cost is also doubled. On top of this, if he ever plays against LaSalle, McNamara will get a free +3 if he either out scores or rebounds LaSalle
Jeff Hornacek
Hornacek looks a lot like a point guard who developed the body of a shooting guard. Already possessing the ability to backup point guard, Hornacek will have a special camp for him that allows him to transition to point guard within his first two seasons if sent to it. The camp will cost $5,000. It must be the only camp Hornacek he goes to in those first two seasons. This will give him +5 handles, +3 quickness, +3 passing, +3 steals, +3 perimeter defense, and +5 potential. It will also permanently change his position to point guard.
Knight Cantin
Legend has it that Cantin is more of a prick about winning than Michael Jordan himself. There are countless stories told at UCF about Cantin's abrasive ways when the team was losing. However, his methods clearly work as Cantin won three national titles at UCF. His desire to win will carry over to NBN. The team that drafts him will receive one free team improvement camp that doesn't count against the season's limit or five-year limit. Additionally, if the team that drafts him wins a title in any of the first four years of his career, Cantin's potential will be set to 100 and the team will receive another free improvement camp free of any requirements. This is claimable anytime the team the Cantin is on wins a title in the first four seasons of his career.
Sergei Bazarevich
Sergei Bazarevich ll
Sergei and Sergei ll are brothers born 4 years apart with parents with a sick sense of humor. Sergei ll idolized his older brother and would love to play along side him in the NBN. If both Sergei’s are drafted to the same team, Sergei ll will have 1 of his overseas years removed so they both join the NBN together in 2041. If drafted together and on the same team, they can each go to the same camps for the cost of 1. Also if both are drafted in the 2nd round to the same team, they will get a free Diamond in the rough camp while overseas.
Eric Dickerson
Eric is one of the best RBs the NFL has ever seen. Having already dominated the NFL, he wants to give the NBN a shot. His football playing style was described as “He has the power to run right over would-be tacklers, the moves to leave them flatfooted, and the speed to run away from them”. He is bringing that style to the hardwood. Dickerson has no rating caps on athletic attributes. Any improvement camp that increases quickness, jumping or strength, those athletic attributes can be doubled for free.
Sam Perkins
Perkins started his NBA career as a more traditional big and ended it by being more of a stretch type. The draft scouts don’t think very much of his stretch ability despite owning the NBA record of most 3s made in a game without a miss at 8. Any time during his rookie season that he shoots 100% from 3, he will get +1 3pt shot. Max of +15
Fat Hunt
Joseph Ballin
Hunt and Ballin may act as if they're good friends, but in the alternate reality that the NBN provides us, these two are mortal enemies. Neither is interested in playing with each other and will take some convincing to do so, more-so fired up about the potential of outshining the other. Over their rookie deals, whenever Hunt and Ballin match up against each other, whoever points up more PAR (Points + Assists + Rebounds) will be eligible to receive a free +1 to any one non-potential rating with no camp history requirements. If either Hunt or Ballin outscores their counterpart in every game they play against each other in any one year of their rookie deals, they will be absolutely fired up about their asserted dominance and will be able to give one random team improvement camp to all of their teammates without any camp history or requirements, randomized (by Silver) from 1-9 in order of how they're posted in the "How to Spend Cash" thread.
Zvonimir Ivisic
As the MVP of the Pre-Draft Camps, Ivisic has risen up the draft boards thanks to an incredibly unique stretch ability that most 7'2, 250 bigs don't have in their arsenal. Ivisic is very raw in some aspects of his game and will need to round out his ability quickly given his age, but will have to get on the court and play to do so. So, if Ivisic plays enough in his rookie year to claim either a +3 or +5 potential bonus through the Rookie Experience bonus, his growth will be rewarded, giving him a claimable improvement camp at the end of his rookie season, free of camp history and requirements.
