Very solid career but unfortunately a no for me. Sure, his defensive accolades are impressive but there were always better SGs in the league who can also produce on the defensive end. I think a ring + some more All-Star/All-League appearances would've helped his case but I think that applies to most who don't make it. Donny mentions Hampton, a HoFer, as a comparison but I think George is really closer to Hardy, who didn't make the HoF.

I voted no bc he's not enough of a complete player. I wonder how a big man with his kind of accolades would do in voting with how much more defense is valued there.

Good player shown by how he constantly was on the all league defensive team but he just wasn't great and just never took his game to the next level. So it's a no for me.

going with No, but if fbb could show how he matched up and defensive stats against stars like shutting down a top tier sg like guerrero or gervin that would be enough to get my vote. But with only the info we have don't think I can vote yes.
