I'm totally against scouting being turned off, personally, but I'm just going off the discussion that was had last year in predicting what this is about. I also am not arguing against the point, just don't like the idea of scouting being turned off from the perspective of me making the class and Silver editing, I at least at this point pay for the scouts of the players I"m looking at to avoid any potential bias or advantage that might come my way from having any knowledge of the drafts.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the idea that I can make some busts at the top that aren't really a thing because people can scout and avoid those players, is kind of enticing.

Lack of scouting would make the latter half of the first round and second round as a whole more viable as guys who are supposed to be sleepers, identified in my articles, will fall in place of safer, more ready prospects to hedge bets.

No scouting would suck, I’m fine without the pre draft camps

Rather than just getting rid of scouting, limiting it to X scouts per first round pick would make more sense to me. That still requires Silver to be around for any scouting, which is the complaint he levied last year. Ah I didn’t know what this was in response to, makes sense. Seems like there should be an easy way to combat that issue. Screenshots when every player is being imported, PM the links to someone trustworthy and allow them to send scouts out?

fully remove draft scouting besides potential and keep pre draft camps free ![8-)](//storage2.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I would def be in favor of this

I know this wouldn't fix the issue of Silver having to send things out but alternatively I wouldn't mind "scouting" meaning that you are buying a player's Pre-Draft Camp stats instead of actual ratings

That way you can get a look into what a players strengths/weaknesses might be without getting a look under the hood at their actual ratings

I feel like there's an effective middle ground in between draft scouting now and getting rid of draft scouting completely that would benefit us here. Not sure exactly what the preferred middle ground would be but it feels like there's a better idea than entirely getting rid of them especially with how little you learn from pre-drafts most of the time.

Could just raise the price of scouting from 200 to 500. Would cut down on people scouting bunch of people to help lesson the work for silver but can still scout the non home run picks

Would cut down on people scouting bunch of people to help lesson the work for silver but can still scout the non home run picks This just creates further gulf and would be hated by the lower income members of the league. If you can't drum up enough to scout at 200, they won't. But the Donny, UC, and others of the world will only put more effort into getting enough cash to scout as many as they want/need.

Would cut down on people scouting bunch of people to help lesson the work for silver but can still scout the non home run picks Every "just raise the ____" fails to recognize this only benefits the rich; I legit have time for maybe 10-15 mins on here daily (unless I have a task taking me too long) and miss most DC's. I would be in favor of eliminating scouting entirely before raising the price at all.

If anything maybe do something where before the draft starts, every team can invite 2-3 players in for "pre-draft workouts" or something and those are the only players they can get a full scout for and everyone else they just have to go by the ratings in the draft preview. That way every team can get a scout on the 2-3 guys they really care most about and the others can remain a mystery so some good values might actually fall to the later picks and make them possibly worth something.

Hate the idea to remove scouting completely but as a man who rarely does articles and writing stuff I don’t have the issue with raising prices. For those that complain that it just hurts the people that are lower bank rolls that seems to be a then problem. Everyone can creat articles and make money via trades or sportsbook. Called activity. I just feel like if I scout 6 people in the draft normally that only costs me 1200 but if it was raised to 500 I’d probably only scout 2-3. Lowering the amount of work silver has to do

Lowering the amount of work silver has to do Its already a them problem, that just furthers the problem. There are GMs here who want to be here, are skilled and do good work, keep their teams competitive that just don't have the ability to drum up the cash. Dash just admitted it himself and hes been a constant playoff team, and to the finals. Raising the prices just will make it that much harder for him to compete. You risk pushing people out(I'll tell ya, its not a risk but a guarantee).
