As one of the league's most prolific passers over the entirety of NBN 2.0's life cycle, Marques Haynes is looking to cement his greatness with an entry into the Hall of Fame. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Marques was never going to give you elite PPG numbers but what he would do for your team is pass with the best of them with 9 years of 10+ APG's, on top of being a very quality stock defender even with less-than-appealing defensive ratings for a large part of his career. Haynes was the perfect PG for a team with scoring options around him, as he did a great job finding the open man for the easy bucket for the entirety of his career.
- He was a super efficient offensive player when he was shooting the ball (usually about 15 times a game, which is super low) and was an elite free throw shooter for large potions of his career. He also knocked down threes pretty well and was able to contribute in other ways, like not turning the ball over.
- Former MVP with 2 Playoff MVP's, along with being a 4x NBN Champion, 3x All-League Third Teamer, and a 4x All-Star. The awards were a little lighter than expected outside of the MVP but the titles should help him out a lot as he was a high-level contributor in quite a few key situations.
Arguments Against Induction
- His best trait was his passing ability, which I've been told doesn't matter, so what else does he have? I mean, you want to look at the stats... 18.3/9.1/4.7/2.3 doesn't sound like a Hall of Fame level PG to me if you can't factor in his passing ability considering it doesn't matter.
- Very light on the awards. Only three All-League teams in which he never got over Third Team in and, outside of an MVP in which he didn't even muster up 20 PPG and a couple titles, he didn't really have much of a long-term stay as an elite contributor via FBB.
- Realistically, how much do titles matter compared to statistic output? Lamelo Ball was denied entry as a career 22.5/5.7/7.5/1.7 player, Jamal Murray (3 titles, Playoff MVP) was denied entry as a career 22/5/7.8/1.8 player. Marques was a different type of player who wasn't going to score as much as most other high-level PG's but, as a pass-first PG, excelled in the spots that they struggled in. Was his ability to make plays and create open shots for his teammates enough?
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
