Yes, probably gets a boost from his circumstance with the Heat and winning multiple titles. But he is exactly what you want in a FBB Point Guard if you have the pieces around him to compliment. Has some solid accolades plus 4 titles, a regular Season MVP, and two playoff MVPs. Makes it an easy yes for me.

Its a Yes, and I would think Stockton can maybe match him, but some draft class guy hasn't made him as good as he should be.
I still don't understand how he won that early MVP back in the day though.

"Assists do not make better percentages in FBB dude. Passing means virtually nothing in FBB." - Rog If the passing means nothing and the assists don't do anything to help the team, this guy was as much of a passenger as Cedric Maxwell has been on his title victories. Bad argument! So in terms of value added, Haynes rest of his game was the reason he was special. His steals, turnovers, percentages, and effectiveness with the ball and allowing the true stars of those title teams to be the stars. The assists make the awards and for the lore, Haynes gets to be remembered as a great. Hes not though, but because of the value added to title winning teams, he gets in. I believe the same could be true for Maxwell when his career is over. Just think the conversation is far more merited than you seem to state it is, not that he is a lock to get in or anything. The thread for Maxwell will be illuminating because not too many people have truly talked about the issue, just a ton of conversation from 5-6 people.
