Regardless of a slow start to his career, Pete Maravich burst onto the scene and absolutely dominated offensively for many years while also being a high-level contributor of other areas of his game. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Pete's one of those guys who played for a LONG time and had some great stretches of play there, posting a decade (TEN YEARS IN A ROW!) of 24 PPG or better games in the middle of his career. Once he got volume, he never stopped getting buckets on buckets on buckets.
- Unlike a lot of other similar scorers, Maravich was also a pretty healthy contributor in other aspects of his game. He regularly put up 6 RPG, 4 APG, and 2+ Stocks/G on a healthy 2.1 TOPG over his career, which is really not bad considering how often the ball was in his hands. He was a creator of points for himself and his teammates and one of the best in the league in his time at that.
- Seven All-Star Games at the most stacked position in the league is pretty impressive, along with four All-League Teams. He regularly battled it out with legends like Arturo Guerrero, George Gervin, and Hall of Famer R.J Hampton, who had 8 ASG's, 4 All-League Teams, and no title... seems like that's a pretty good comp and Hampton received 22 yes votes.
Arguments Against Induction
- Unfortunately, the lack of a ring is a very big deal for a lot of people and like Hampton, there's not a whole lot of POTW/POTM action with only 2 POTW's over his career. Maravich played for a long time and was a valuable mentor, but that may have cost him his chances as the non-prime of his career was not exactly enticing.
- Maravich ended up at 21.9 PPG which seems fairly pedestrian all things considered for how good of a career he had. The longevity is a blessing in some manners but a curse in others and I think Maravich's longevity as a high schooler made him look a bit less elite than he actually was for a large stretch of time as a pure scorer.
- He was never deemed the best shooting guard in the league by FBB, with three All-League Second and one All-League Third team being pretty much the best he has to show. While he had years that could've very easily been considered "the best", his trophy cabinet is a tad bit light.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
