An elite defensive big until the very last days of his career, Magnifico will go up for the Hall of Fame as one of the most productive and high quality 4's of his era. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- It's clear that this guy was out there to play defense and pretty much defense only as he had quite a few years where he was shooting 10-or-less shots/game, yet he was ALWAYS going to be a high-level big man wherever he ended up going. There were definitely years where you could've considered him a top-5 DPOTY candidate, no doubt.
- He ended up with a pretty damn good career, honestly. A few All-Star Games, an All-League appearance, quite a few All-Defensive teams, longevity into the depths of his career, and a crucial part of a ring with the Lakers. Pretty good stuff from Magnifico.
- Although his offense left a lot to be desired, he's definitely not in the category of some of the other similar bigs in this league. Magnifico was extremely consistent around 40-41% and could always hit free throws at a near 75% clip, both of which are fine. He never dealt with any serious turnover issues, passed the ball well, rebounded with the elites of the league for a decade, racked up stocks, and was always a guy that a contender would love to have on their roster no matter the cost.
Arguments Against Induction
- While he was a definitely complete-ish big, it's proven hard to decide which of the high-end defensive bigs are Hall of Fame worthy. I think the track record speaks for itself here when I say there's a lot of comparing to do and I'm not entirely sure if he's going to fare well on those comparisons.
- Magnifico was never the best player on his team... or at least the best player on a good team. He was a terrific role player, no doubt, but it's an interesting debate when we start discussing Robin instead of Batman.
- Is the resume that great? One Player of the Week, 88 Player of the Games (over 849 games), no POTM's, and only 5 triple doubles. Not a ton of awards, but not super light. One title at age 33. It's going to be really interesting to see what GMs say.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
