No because that would make sense i say we take a vote of the interims and new gm and take a vote. Majority rules it would only be fair ........... 1. This is CKriz team now so the interims would have no say at all. 2. This has been sent to the Committee and will be decided on shortly

For clarity and precedence... I voted to veto. My issue isn't the value, I do think it's bad though. My issue is how I think interims(and how the league has usually ran with interims) should operate. I think the modus operandi of an interim should be to look at it from a new GMs perspective.
All trades should only be accepted if the answer to the question "does this make the roster more appealing to a new GM" is yes. And so here it becomes "Would a new GM prefer to have Morrow or a longer contract and Antonio Davis?" And I truly, truly think the answer to that question here is no. First of all, Morrow offers two super valuable things for a new GM, contract flexibility and the best player at a premium position. Maxwell is still good, but runs the risk of becoming a bad contract quick with 3 years left on his deal instead of 2 and a year older. Antonio Davis offers 1 thing: Hope his potential can overcome his flaws. Given I gave great potential to a guy like D-Rob with a better starting place and we see how that turned out, it's just not a great bet.
If Joseph made this trade with his own team I wouldn't bat an eye. This is exactly the type of deals he makes. But this isn't his second team, he's here to make the roster more appealing to a different GM. Who might not camp or develop in the way Joseph does and envisions here. That is my issue with the trade and why I voted to veto.
That doesn't preclude Ckriz from deciding he likes this deal, sticks with it and develops Davis into a stud. And if it remained a committee deal under Ckriz I'd change my vote.

18 pages for Antonio Davis. What a way to bring back some activity.
I mean I wouldn't have accepted the trade if I was the Blazers, but I don't think it is the craziest thing I have seen. Probably not 18 pages worth lol. Morrow should be able to help you stay competitive for the next two seasons. The team might not be a title contender but I think they are closer to that than a team needing a rebuild (especially without their picks).

You don’t need encouragement because you’re not interim anymore Too bad your 5 season plan didn’t even get underway

Biggest takeaways of this:
1. Sounds like the FBB switch needs to be flipped to CPU instead of having interim.
2. It isn’t a coincidence that I’m able to draft quality players late in the draft!

I had talks with HF, UCF, you & hunt around Davis for their star players. If we can't trust the GMs with half the league's titles to interim, either Donny needs to run every team or we just leave them empty We've now had 18 pages of bullshit invalidate talks I spent all offseason having while shitting on the value of my best asset. I held out on other deals to do a trade that most of the top gms didn't have a problem with

Man, what the fuck. This is literally the first issue with interims making a trade we've had. Just because some think you didn't operate in the way an interim should, doesn't mean the whole system needs scrapped. Jesus Christ you sound like a fucking toddler who didn't get a toy at Walmart. I'm a big fan of yours in this league and your second point is right, for you.. You haven't even remotely tried to respond to my criticisms of this deal, which are coming from a place as for whats best for the league instead are having a bitchfest with Donny over value. Is it because you know I'm right? I reiterate what I've said a couple of times here, not everyone operates the way you do. Whether that is because of a lack of cash/activity or because they don't think your way of doing things is fun, not everyone can or wants to do what you do. You are excellent at it and you bring a different angle to the league that is fun to watch. Doesn't change what I've said.

Biggest takeaways of this: 1. Sounds like the FBB switch needs to be flipped to CPU instead of having interim. 2. It isn’t a coincidence that I’m able to draft quality players late in the draft! this is a great ploy. Here is what we have established in these 18 pages. EAST>WEST Interims should at least block players so we can point to that when trades upset the league (this should prolly be a rule for interims) Donny does not care what you think, but you better care about what he thinks ^ same but for Joseph Davis will prolly turn out to be a stud even without late bloomer Carlos has bad luck in trades and in the playoffs Dash is a traditionalist when it comes to resolving issues ( like a man) SF is a weak position (Morrow and Maxwell should bring in good returns) Young post prospects are hard to obtain. Sarcasm only lasts 17 pages. Edamame sounds like something i should try Cop knows about Edamame because it involves beans ...... Yourkers wants to bring peace to the league Silver only sent trade to council after I posted my BMI (is this fat shaming) Lottery GM's don't have gigachad chins No one likes people saying they would leave the league ( we all love each other) Joseph did this for two reasons 1 his maxwell fetish, 2 to lose the respect he earned from winning the chip. Now he's the underdog again. Chess not checkers.

I held out on other deals to do a trade that most of the top gms didn't have a problem with You also have refused to acknowledge my point and again miss the point why Silver, myself, PJ and I believe Spike(the commish and 3 members of the committee) have issue with this deal. If UC or HF or Hunt make this deal thats fine because they've been here for the long haul, will be here for the long haul and know the systems in place well enough to maximize Davis as an asset. He needs a GM like that, not a potentially new GM who doesn't know how we operate, may not have the time to maximize the value of Davis and his note, or flat out might not like building in that manner. Every interim has made deals based on whats best for the team, league, and the future GM rather than how they like to build. Joseph made this deal because of his own way of operating and thats fine for him and thats fine for the guys you mentioned but not necessarily for the Blazers as a franchise or for a new GM. Like I said it might be for a guy like ckriz who knows what he is doing, has been here before, and might decide this deal is what he likes. But we have to operate with these open teams as if we're going to get a new to the league GM not a guy like ckriz.
