DJ came into the league young and retired young after an illustrious career as one of the league's all-time best on the defensive end of the game, while also being an elite scorer for large parts of his career. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Realistically, making the All-D team 11 times at PG, which is a crazy competitive defensive position... pretty wild. Dennis was a high-end scorer but I think it's pretty fair to say his defensive ability as a guaranteed 3 stock player from pretty much start to finish is incredibly impressive.
- He checks all the boxes in terms of individual and team success. Former MVP, All-Leaguer, NBN Champion, a bunch of All-D teams. At that point, it's pretty hard to argue against it, especially because I'm not sure a former MVP has ever missed the HOF in their attempt to get in.
- I think he benefitted a lot from playing for capable GMs for a large portion of his career, with his two longest tenured teams being the Nuggets with the consistently good Vanimmer and the Sonics with the consistently good HF. He had quite a few extremely impressive years as the #1 for good GMs, can't complain about that.
Arguments Against Induction
- He wasn't much of a APG/TOPG ratio kinda guy, with 7.6:3.2 being pretty dang pedestrian for a guy who played the PG for the vast majority (pretty much all) of his career. Great scorer and defender, mediocre passer for the most part.
- The back half of his career was a little bit less efficient from downtown, with 6 seasons of 41% or less from three. This would show in a slight drop to his FG% but nothing overly serious as it looked like he clearly was just slashing/hitting more mid-ranges but nonetheless.
- He kinda sorta peaked a little bit at the end of his tenure with Seattle. As soon as he got to Orlando, he never saw the volume he had been able to see previously and wouldn't see that volume again until going back to Seattle, which didn't go great all things considered. He was highly productive for a good 10 years and then ranging from fine to good for the remainder.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
