Great deal for the Wizards, unbelievable work getting out of cap hell and getting rid of Magic's contract while getting much younger
Horrible work by the Blazers interim. One of the worst interims if not the worst interim this league has ever had with how brutally bad these moves are every season.

going to let this air out for a bit and give it the opportunity for discussion.
As the interim of the blazers I feel like im getting the better player in the deal, an interesting pg prospect and a pick. All while allowing the blazers to compete in the west while we don't have our pick. I don't feel like I am sacrificing the blazers future or present states.

The one thing I will say is the Nuggets have both the blazers picks. He had a need at SG and has plenty of pg prospects.
Maybe he offers up both those picks and one of those prospects putting them in a position to build the team they want while getting a top flight prospect at a premium position.

For me the integrity of the league is at stake here.
You are clearly making this trade to fuck up the picks as much as you can and banking on a new gm being able to amnesty cut this awfull magic contract. In the process you trade a 26 y old who would be much more appealing if a new gm came in now.
I very much doubt you do this deal if this was your own team and you would be stuck with 50M spend on a 36 y old

Last time we had this situation the problem was there wasn't a trade block. Dani's been on the block for a few days.
The 2nd best offer was Walt & Tim Brown. Walt is already 35 and making $50m, declined in 2 straight TCs, Magic improved. Brown is a prospect bc he's capable but Kerr isn't. Kerr gets a +18 from late bloomer, Brown had already been mentored and super camped, so he's eligible for +16 across 2 years (all camps are +4 I think). Kerr was just bumped to 100 potential so I assume his potential is higher, but Idk.
We followed every rule and the only other offer was similar value.

If they would have resigned him they would have been over HC now and had to make moves to get under. Frst you give them a free $6000 And now this bullshit trade nokne would make if it was their own team just to make sure the picks ends as bad as possible and cause we all know that magic contract van be amnestied. I always manage cap, always am positive in banks and make deals i see as an opportunity cause I take everything into account. That doesn't include running a team into the ground. Mc wouldn't have been able to keep that team together by the time I had his picks i took that into account when I made that deal. And while the cash from last off-season could have been seen as a plus for a new gm. This deal defenitly isnt |
