You can’t mold Kerr into whatever you want him to be lol, you have no control on anything past the late bloomer that’s the entire point of rookie deal control and camp history requirements, it is a definite benefit to have a guy on their rookie deal |

Hold on, this is what the drama was about? Dani is good, no doubt about it but hes not elite. Magic last time he played PG was a 30/10/7/2 player and still has elite ratings. Kerr is +4 from being a B A+ B A- C- point guard now with really good potential. Oh and the Wizards are good now but clearly pushing the point on the hard cap and are going to either continue to make deals that put them on the right path or make a new path, in which case that pick gets valuable.
I don't love it for the Blazers since Dani is 26. But I don't think this is nearly as bad as Donny is making this out to be.

Magic has approximately 0 value to a new GM. The Blazers are set up well to tank after 2049, so the new GM will almost 100% need to amnesty him to function. He is not an asset to the Blazers, whereas Dani could've added significant prospect/pick assets. |

After this season? I'd make an offer without a doubt. Mentor for Black and gives Black a couple years to get ready before taking over as my starter. And I'll have the cap to accept him. I don't understand where the idea he has no value comes from. Does he have value to the Blazers after this season? Nah but he could be traded to a team needing a PG and a mentor. I just hard disagree with you here. |
