Now the question becomes do we allow the Hawks to send the filler acquired here to the Suns(cash acquired here attached) to get them under the cap. To me the deal makes a million times of sense, but its a precedent I'm unsure I want to set. I personally think the cash rule is silly. Especially in this case where your getting it as a tertiary asset |

I don’t need 1000$ just wanted some cash to take on 13+ mill but if it helps the hawks get under I’d be willing to do it.

If an interim gets cash in one trade I think they should be allowed to use that cash in another trade - don't really see an issue with it |

I’m the only team with enough cap to absorb the full amount of the filler to get them under. Seemed to be the easiest solution

I don’t even need cash. I’d still be under 100 and don’t plan on making any moves for the year so if I can get hawks under and the league allows it I will do it

So couple things 1. Rewriting the cash rule as it doesn't make sense and I'll admit I was wrong there. Here is edited version: Interims will be able to fully camp any player selected in the lottery still on their rookie deal. Camps will cost nothing, but they cannot earn cash through any means other than trades and DCs. Pick ems, articles, press conferences, jobs, and any other methods of earning are for the GM's true team, not their interim. Cash coming in will be treated as additions to the bank. Cash going out will be heavily criticized and scrutinzed by the committee. The idea is build the bank and use cash for things that make sense for the long term health of the team. 2. This trade will go through and I'm allowing SpikeLee14 to trade the roster filler signed for this trade to be sent to the Suns for the price I typically charge for luxury tax trades, $50 per million(in this case its $650). This will be the only time this happens unless a extremely similar, and odd case happens in the future. I'll process this with tonight's sim and do the filler for cash in game and in banks. League will be HC compliant after this. |
